I think this scenario is a very, very long way off.... Americans have always been in love with their cars - I can't even envision this country walking away from them. I think there will be areas throughout the country that will have some limited success - but I guess we'll see.

I pretty much do the same thing you do - on the grill if the weather is good - or in the oven if its not. I do have a recipe for salmon poached in olive oil and herbs. Sounds a little weird but I did try it and it was very good. Salmon is one of those things that is good however you cook it - but I agree with you - I don't like it the way the restaurants bring it out (very raw still in the center). :(

we have a cat that loves to get really close to the fireplace and I have recurring nightmares about her fur accidentally catching on fire. So glad you were able to catch her and extinguish before it hurt her - how very scary. Totally understand the crying - sometimes we do it when we are relieved that it wasn't worse....
