Religion by definition involves binding oneself to a set of ideals. The very word religion come from the same root Latin word as ligature, "ligatus" to bind and the Latin prefix re- to redo, to go through again, hence weekly rituals to re-tighten the binding of one self to an ideology. So as far as this goes, what you present is a fair definition of a religion, other than it lacks a supernatural element and a requirement for faith which is a priority for almost all religions. Communism for example meets ALL the requirements for a religion other than that its object of faith is an ambition, a belief in a future conforming to the ideals of Marx and the communist patriarchs and it outright rejects the supernatural (only room for one boogie man in the commie camp). So without that supernatural element an ideology can and Does have a hard time selling itself as a religion. Atheism I would argue, meets none of the requirements, it is simply an intellectual standpoint, in that to be atheist all that is required is an opinion that the concept of a god or gods existing has spectacularly failed to meet its burden of proof and so can be logically rejected as not even worthy of being considered an hypothesis. It seeks not to give life meaning It offers or delivers no perfect method for living a life, not offers any meaning for life. There is no weekly or periodic rebinding neither compulsory or even voluntary ritual and other than expressing loosely connected ideas based around (lets face it) worrying about the dangerous effect religion is having on the world there is no official or even casual atheist community other than perhaps a few activist organizations such as the FFRF and the Satanic temple who enjoy winding up bigots and throwing stumbling blocks in to the way of their pious pontifications and parading.

This is the natural evolution of what began with the movement that claimed "Feelings over Facts" was a legitimate standpoint. Not True, the last time the UK was invaded was during the 1812 US/UK war when an American warship blown off course landed on the West Coast of England in the fishing town of Whitehaven. 30 members of the crew including Captain John Jones rowed ashore and invaded the town, leaving only one officer and two seamen on board as caretakers. The astonished Locals offered the invaders Ale and dinner at the local Tavern and gave them directions to the home of the local Lord of the manor Lord Selkirk, who Jones decided to kidnap for ransom. Zelensky like all actors and performers is fame hungry, when he was used as a puppet by ogliarch to become Leader he was more than happy to do it, when he was used as a puppet by right wing fanatics to legitimize their dubious endevours, he loved it. When he was puppeteered in to hitting the world wide stage as the blackmail victim of the evil Trump he hit the jackpot. So when Trump's successor (and father of his business acquaintance) assures him that Putin saber ratting on the Ukrainian boarder is not bad thing for either of them Big Z lapped it up. Time of war is no time to change leaders, so long as Prez Putrid is being an international terrorist Zelensky is in no danger of being ousted from the top seat and gets to play Ukrainian Churchill. Of Course when the cossack hoards actually crossed the boarder and marched in to Ukraine, Zelensky's public image, which up to that point had been spurious at best, suddenly rocketed to the lovable international underdog, the brave little David standing up to the Big bad bald Goliath of Russia, all is forgiven all is forgotten and so long as Z goes on his international personal appearance tour, aid pours in to Ukraine in the form of weapons, support and hard cash from ALL OVER THE WORLD, and all Zelensky has to do is keep smiling, keep being humbly appreciative, and keep out of the way of Russian missiles. NATO gets to fight Russia by proxy, the arms manufacturers coin it in, and gratefully donate to the political parties their cut of the lollipop time, NATO and the EU get new member, wiling to pay for the protection that brings and the news media has another bumper pay day. Everyone's a winner LUVLY JUBLEE. (Except of course from the poor bastards bombed out of their homes, or with dead children on the battle fields, their lives and hopes ruined, but then what else are the poor for?)

Just a bit of Trivia Arthur, changed his name from Adolf in 1911 after WWII he made the change official, it was he who originated the the Groucho character in the stage act, but preferred the Harpo character and so asked his younger brother Julius to take over playing Groucho so he could concentrate on the musical side of the act along with Leonard AKA Chico the eldest brother a talented pianist. THis used to happen a lot to the Angel Moroni Statues (I Moron as I like to call them) blowing his horn, plonked on the top of every Mormon church, until it became a joke that obviously god was smiting the Mormon religion because it was a pile of horse shit, at which point the first presidency ordered them all taken down, claiming it was nothing to do with god, that it was simple physics and a that the metal statues were a fire hazard. Oddly god chose not to tell the divinely inspired prophet of the LDS about lightening rods I wonder why not?
