Oriental is referring to of, from, or characteristic of Asia, especially East Asia.

In most most literature dating from the 19th and early 20th century the Orient is synonymous with China and oriental was considered a polite way of referring to anything or anyone Chinese.

I have been an activist fought for sexual equality all my life. A movie actor/ director/ producer regardless of gender has the right to do as they please within normal boundaries of respect and self respect.

However there is also a need for mutual respect.

Who on earth told you that rubbish, a significant part of the Roman Empires economy was derived from the tax on brothel owners, both static and mobile and the services they provided.

NO it is not simply that, there have been calls in the last week or so to shut down all sorts of groups, the memes group for example because some of those memes shared as "Bad Taste" in the opinion of the permanently offended.
It is not up to anyone not even admin to censor the feed, it is up to people to make their own choices and censor what they don't wan to see, but like so many others the dear members of this site are getting that they will not do anything for themselves and insist that they be "protected" from inappropriate content which the rest of us are supposed to know by some kind of telepathic osmosis.
If you don't want to see don't look, but do not feel entitled to tell other people that because you don't like it they can not like it themselves.
