A diagnosis later described as wrong after Thatcher and Bush snr failed to have the House of Lords tow the party line and block his extradition much to the very public disdain of Thatcher and Bush. Here is the piece in full If I am elected president By Chuck Norris Published June 11, 2007 at 1:00am I was wondering the other day, if I ran for president, what would be my campaign promises? I made a list I'm certain can get me elected. If I'm elected president, I will… Require members of Congress to work out on the Total Gym 15 minutes each day – or else they can't vote on anything. Cut spending by dismissing the Secret Service, at least for my eight years in office (why would I need them?). Resurrect Bruce Lee and appoint him head of homeland security (OK, the CIA and FBI too). Give a presidential pardon to … no one, ever. Baretta was right in the '70s, "Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time. Don't do it!" Turn the Rose Garden into a new fighting ring for the World Combat League, in which liberals and conservatives will fight for legislative leadership and priority. (For fun, Saturday night fights will feature a recurring bout between Hannity and Colmes). "American Idol" already told me they will provide the entertainment. Require Bill Gates and Warren Buffet to personally pay for national, comprehensive medical coverage for every American (or meet me in the Rose Garden). Increase jobs in America by sending ninja teams to sabotage and steal them back from other countries. ***Tattoo an American flag with the words, "In God we trust," on the forehead of every atheist.*** Give a tax credit to anyone naming their children Walker or Texas Ranger (excluding Will Farrell). Resolve the Iraq war by bringing all of our military personnel home immediately, then going over there by myself for "martial arts negotiations." Hang Saddam Hussein (Whoops – scratch that – already did it undercover). Convey my plan for world peace to the United Nations: taking the governor of California with me on our "kick butt and ask questions later" USO world tour. Give every new military enlistee abroad a copy of my upcoming new book, "The Threat of Justice," with the words, "Arnold and I will be back to pump you up!" above my autograph. **Bring on Donald Trump as my apprentice. When my presidential term is complete and he has obtained his black belt, or whichever comes first, he can buy the White House and of course rename it (to, what else, "The Trump House").** Create new immigration legislation: to deport all liberals (then force them to listen to Bill O' Reilly every day for five years, at which point they may return). Ask producer Mark Barnett to film "Survivor – Camp David," where world leaders will meet annually, for an all-out cage-fighting championship. The winner will take home $1,000,000 in Disney Dollars, good in Europe or America. Send an autographed photo of me and my horse (no ...

LenHazell53 comments on Sep 2, 2020:
Yes on every count. However it is not simply Trump's doing, it is the fruition of a long term plan that began with Reagan and Thatcher, a steadfast dripping of corrosive policies that took away rights, values, ethics, and re-branded empathy and concern as weakness, charity as theft and heroism as foolishness. Where the strong no longer protect the weak, they trample them as lesser, because strength no longer means fortitude of character, determination and fitness in mind and body, it means the power of cash, the will hate and a form of fear filled pragmatic paranoia against those who MUST NOT be trusted! Who are they? The kind, the compassionate, the altruistic, the generous, the poor, in short the WEAK and the different. Even those who call themselves left wing or liberal have been changed. Motivated by anger and frustration in to abandoning their traditional ways in favour of "direct action" they submit to radicalisation. They rely on the thrusting forward of he or she with the loudest mouth in the hope of being heard, a policy that has backfired spectacularly, turning the left in to a lunatic fringe, a hoard of minutia obsessed busy bodies and nitpickers. People who in the eyes of "the common folk" are a more terrifying threat to "normal life" than the covert fascism of the right. So why facilitate the rise to power of utter morons like Trump and Boris? Well for exactly that reason, they are morons, uncontrollable but highly dangerous. They were aimed like guns and fired in to the heart of democracy in the sure and certain hope that they would kill it dead. Who will ever trust a system again that could deliver men like this in to high office? "It will have to go," the survivors will say. "We cannot take that risk again!" Moreover, the Conservatives of the UK and the Republicans of the USA will, tut, sigh, and say "reluctantly"- "Quite so, these terrible men were tragic anomalies, but they did not represent REAL right wing politics, only we can deliver that, only we can save OUR society. Put us in charge indefinitely and we shall put things right, and after we do we will usher in a new form of safe reliable governance, "eventually" and we will all live happily ever after, for ever and ever amen." Make no mistake, western society as we know it is already dead, it is a chicken running about with it's head cut off, ready for the plucking and roasting. Who we allow to do that and how badly we get burned is the main worry for the future

LenHazell53 comments on Sep 2, 2020:
Modern religion is as guilty of this as ever, I cannot count the times when the religious have asked if I am mentally ill, because the existence of gawd is so obvious only a liar or a lunatic could dispute it. It is simple fear. If the religious (fanatics of any faith or denomination) admit to an over reaction, or leave a "blasphemy" unpunished then they have as much as admitted that they have allowed themselves to be fooled in to a life time of servitude, worship, study and belief that is of no consequence to most of the rest of the world. They have denied themselves worldly pleasures for nothing, been obliged to part with large sums of money they could have put to better use, allowed themselves to be bullied in to relationships they did not want, and been persuaded to hate those they did not wish to hate. Therefore defense of the indefensible is there only option, discussion is worthless and foolish for they have no evidence or logical argument so they fall back on "if not by discussion, then by the sword" in order to feel justified at their total waste of a life.

Aliens; why should we "listen" for them? Have they ever visited us?
LenHazell53 comments on Sep 1, 2020:
Both Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawkins have expressed the idea that communication with extra terrestrial beings would probably end very badly for us. Especially id the the said AET's were anything like humans in temperament. We need look no further than the history of our own planet to see what happens when a technically more advance "civilization" comes in to contact with a more primitive one, almost inevitably conquest and exploitation, when they were lucky, extinction and extirpation when they were not. We have to consider what the motivation for contact and visitation would be? To make such a huge investment of time and technology, to say nothing of expense if they have the concept, there must be an expected reward or pay off. Be it land, minerals, alternate tech, slave labour, food or something beyond our ken, there is going to be an expected reward. If we can assume they are technologically savvy enough to have faster than light or interdimensional travel then we are going to have little to trade to them that they might actually want. We will probably be unable to fight back in the face of aggression, so chances are they will simply take what they need until there is nothing left. If by some chance they are benificent, can we expect compassion, we need to consider how we will be perceived, a dangerous, warlike, race of angry apes, who have knowingly poisoned out own air, land, sea and sky with toxic waste. A race of beings so arrogant that we have driven hundreds of other species resident here with us to extinction, a society who deliberately keeps 90% of our own species in servitude, poverty and want for the sake 10% who have so much of the planet under their control they cannot possibly use it all. If I were them I would give this world a wide berth until the monsters all consumed each others and the nicer rabbit people took over.

Are police disproportionally killing (unarmed) black men?
LenHazell53 comments on Aug 31, 2020:
You are completely ignoring the context of the killings. In many cases the black person having been shot has been doing nothing more than driving a car, all be it one the policeman who killed them has judged to be too "nice" to be being driven by a black person and is therefore in a situation to be considered "suspicious". I have been myself stopped like this, but only when traveling in a car, or when walking the street with my friend and colleague Courtney, who I have known since the age of 12 and who was born on the Island on St. Vincent. Apparently a white man walking or driving with a black man needs to be checked upon, just in case he is under duress. White people shot and killed are usually already in the act of, or have been caught immediately after committing a criminal act far in excess of driving while in possession of a larger than expected amount of melanin

Question on Nietzsche
LenHazell53 comments on Aug 28, 2020:
My personal interpretation, and I emphasise this is MY interpretation, of the will to power is the defining characteristic of the Ubermensch, the force of the functioning mind to discover and then pursue the true meaning of one own life, to create and to contribute something new to the collective whole, to assert change. This contrasts with the mind of the herd human whose own will does not drive them to power, but to serve, to "borrow" the will of the Ubermensch and to act upon it and constuct the new to the pattern provided. The opposite of the will to power, the will to depower is the characteristic of the Letzter Mensch, the determination to half progress, to be reactionary, to regress the collective whole.

I guess I was lucky, when I left the LDS I feared it would end my marriage. However my wife loved me enough to ask why I felt I had to leave and when I told her she looked in to my reasons with an open mind and decided that I was justified, she followed me out of the church a couple of months later. I think it came down to her loving me more than the church and so trusting me to have a good reason, she then took her own time to do some serious research and then decided I was right. She was also wise enough to know it was a pointless exercise to try and bully someone in to pretending to believe something they don't. Our relationship is all the better for religion being out of our lives and we are fast approaching our Pearl wedding anniversary.

According to the Quran in times of captivity, crisis, starvation or disease it is perfectly permissible to eat pork if forced or left with no other choice than to do so. However that aside, all Vegetables, Fruits, Grains, Egg, and Dairy are Halal, so they need not eat the proffered pork or spoiled Halah meat but can switch to a vegetarian diet for as long as needs be. Growing up my best friend was a Muslim and to be honest he, his father, and his five brothers never missed a chance to say they had no choice but to eat a bacon sandwich given the opportunity.

Funny in't it how the nice and the beautiful and helpful bits of life are miracles of Gawd, but ugly and dangerous thing and happening are nothing to do with "Him" and are surely happenstance, coincidence or just darn bad luck.

My usual response is "By that logic anyone can kill their own kids and has a perfect right to do so."

A few years ago I would have despised this sentiment, but between 2016 and now my attitude has changed and yes, I can see where this guy is coming from. **"You're born, you keep your head down, then you die, if you're lucky!"** *Edward Elizabeth Hitler* 1991
Another Question on Nietzsche
LenHazell53 comments on Aug 24, 2020:
'Master morality' is the moral code practiced by The Übermensch. This means basing you moral code on your duty to contribute to the greater good of society by practicing a greater degree of individuality, leadership or supervisory skills such as planning, teaching, training, creating and innovating. "Slave morality" is seeing a greater value in conformity, contributing, cooperation and contributing to the greater good of society by serving as a part of a greater whole and taking pride in the achievement of the group rather than personal glory. An example is perhaps seen on a building site when the architect provides the pattern, the site project manager coordinates the the various skill sets and acquisition of raw material and so forth all showing "master morality" while the work force cooperating with one another, integrating their skill to produce a single or multiple tangible results as a joint effort are practicing "slave morality" Looked at in modern anthropological circumstances some have speculated that Master Morality is seen more in those with higher levels of Neanderthal DNA in their make up and slave morality is a feature of those with predominantly cro magnon ancestry. The two types complimenting one another for success sociologically.
What does it mean to be an Ubermensch according to Friedrich Nietzsche?
LenHazell53 comments on Aug 24, 2020:
The Ubermensch as described by Nietzsche was not the Superman of today or the Perfect Aryan of Hitler's vision. The Nearest version in literature was the Pulp adventuring character Clarke "Doc" Savage. The Ubermensch is the person who has achieved their full potential as a human being, one who lives on an optimised scale, educated to the highest degree they are capable of, as fit as their physically allows, with a mind unhindered by social or religious programming, but driven by logic and reason, tempered by compassion. The Ubermensch therefore is not a thing it is an ideal to be striven for, and that those that who get closest to that ideal should be the natural leader of those happier and more productive in the environment of "the herd"
What were Friedrich Nietzsche's views on politics?
LenHazell53 comments on Aug 24, 2020:
Nietzsche was fairly apolitical, however his sister Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche was a raving fascist. It was her who allowed the Nazi's access to all of Nietzsche's unpublished work after his death, and personally presented them to Hitler. Thus allowing the corruption of his work and misrepresenting him as a pro-nationalist fascist for a time.

Even commonplace words for money have interesting back stories for example Salary actually means "money for salt" and dates back to ancient Rome, where salt licks were needed for health. So originally your salary was money paid in addition to your wages, hence "worth his Salt"

A good example of the hypocrisy of the the 19th century clergy, an apparently "faith promoting" poem warning of the dangers of damnation awaiting the "profane" that however is filled with mysticism, Greek and Egyptian mythology and contemporary gnosticism/Theosophy so popular and powerful at the time.

LenHazell53 comments on Aug 23, 2020:
"The question is: why do people do this?" Because everyone living a work-a-day normal boring hand to mouth existence wants to believe that one morning they are going to wake up to find they have become Spider man, Superman, Jesus or have won the lottery. Which means you get hoards of adoring fans, sex and cash on demand and the ability to stuff your boss in the local garderobe. The easy way is always appealing if all you have to do is buy a ticket, have faith or find a radioactive spider. It is wishful thinking and the power of the hero story.
