'Islamization of Europe a good thing'
LenHazell53 comments on May 23, 2019:
Rabbi Baruch Efrati is not a typical Rabbi, nor even a Typical Jew, he is a leading member of the ultra Zionist and fundamentalist group of extreme Israeli Rabbis known as “Kavnekim” (literally the hard liners) They preach the oppression of women, extreme modesty in clothing, literal adherence of the teachings of the Torah and Talmud and scriptural punishments for breaking any of gods "rules". They are in short The Westboro Baptist Church of Judaism

The native Americans believe that all things, animate or inanimate have "manitou" a living force, and that as their are good and bad people there are good and bad things. If a weapon or tool has bad manitou it should be destroyed as it will turn on it's master. Oddly in the car industry there is an accepted phemomena called a rogue car, a vehicle exactly like all others from the same production line batch, that constantly goes wrong, breaks down, refuses to start or seemingly tries to kill it's own driver(s). Rogue cars are taken so seriously they are often scrapped after being returned once or twice. Like wise in architecture there is the phenomena of "Sick Building Syndrome" a building that makes it's occupants ill, causes business done from it to fail and has unending problems with building faults for no readily apparent reason. In Japan such buildings are often exorcised, in America they are blessed, these ritual appear to work which suggests to me they are psychological problems cured by a placebo in our culture we have RESISTENTIALISM

NECROMANCER .
LenHazell53 comments on May 22, 2019:
To be pedantic, the definition given here is a common mistake and is not of a Necromancer but of a Nigromancer that is a practitioner of Black magic (Latin Nigro=Black Mantis=a prophet/wonder worker) Necromancy is a form of black magic akin to what we today would call mediumship ie. communication with the dead or spirit communication. Though there is a version of Necromancy that involves grave robbing and talking to corpses, Dr John Dee the noted metaphysical alchemist of the Elizabethan age along with his cohort Sir edward Kelly practiced this form of magic, but also uniquely developed a form of divination by "Wife swapping". The two words were confused during the slave era to avoid confusion with the idea that black slaves (as descendants of Cain) were magical beings who could curse you, as it was believed by the church that such a confusion would lead to a decline in profits from the slave trade in which the church (RC) was heavily involved. Therefore the more acceptable term Necromancer was substituted even though the word as such did not exist because a practitioner of Necromany was by definition a Nigromancer. There were also various other magical prophetic skills or mantis each more deliciously daft than the last, you can find a list of them here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methods_of_divination a few notable ones are Tasseomancy reading tea leaves, Alectryomancy reading the pecking patterns of chickens, Astromancy the forerunner of astrology (yes changing the name was a way to make Astrology look more scientific) and canomancy/felidomancy telling the future by talking to a dog or cat.

LenHazell53 comments on May 20, 2019:
An interesting word, with various etymological theories as to it's origin. I personally favour the idea that it comes from the Latin Paulus meaning small or insignificant and the old English suffix -oon/-roon meaning a small version as in Balloon (small ball) Cartoon (small picture) Patroon (little father) therefore Poltroon breaks down as Paul (smallest) t'(the)roon(small) smallest of the small, most insignificant of the least

LenHazell53 comments on May 16, 2019:
If you define "truth" as factual, then it is easy, you test it, by seeking evidence, or by proving consistent behaviour that can be predicted and duplicated. From the results you can come to the conclusion something is likely true, something is false or that something is as yet unverified but not erroneous and so can safely be treated as false. However thee is no such thing as variable truth, it falls in to the same group of word games as "alternate facts" and "for a given value of true" or most notoriously "true from a certain point of view" all of which are euphemisms for "expedient lie"

Do you still have faith that we are living in a democracy?
LenHazell53 comments on May 15, 2019:
There is no such thing as a democracy, there is only the ideal of a government subject to the will of the people it serves. What we call a democracy today is nothing of the sort, at best it is a perversion of the idea, representing not the people but a section of the will of a society via an elected representative who is free to make his or her own decisions even if they are in opposition to the will of those they represent. Both first past the post and proportional representation ignore the will of those on the losing side and those who either choose not to vote, could not vote or are not allowed to vote by reason of age or social position. In so called "free" countries votes can be bought and sold, tricked out of the gullible, hidden or replaced. Ultimately electoral representative democracy is rule by those who can buy and cajole the public by guile or trickery or corruption.

LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2019:
I believe you may be right for this reason: speed equals distance divided by time, so god speed is the distance to god divided by the time taken to reach god According to Christian tenets God is omnipresent and so is zero distance from anything and everything taking zero time to reach it 0/0= 0 god speed According to Einstein matter dilates the closer it gets to light speed ( C ) at which point it becomes energy If ( c ) is the maximum speed and (0) is the total absence of speed then it is likely that (0) is the point where energy coalesces back in to matter that is absolutely stationary. The Church of Scientology can believe whatever they like, no matter how stupid, but what they believe deserves no respect, because it is a lie and is dangerous when it denies people the medical help they may need in favor of pseudoscientific bullshit. The confusion comes from a religious person asking someone to a) respect their right to believe bullshit which is legitimate and B) have their bullshit respected which is not
