Humanitarian Moral decisions tend to be based on how much the decision serves the well being of the people as people. Secular Moral decisions tend to be based on how much the decision serves the pragmatic well being of the particular society with no regard for religiosity. Economic Moral decisions tend to be based on how much the decision serves the well being of the plutocracy.

Also given the enormous distances involved I personally find it more likely we would encounter extra dimensional beings before we encounter extra terrestrial entities (the many worlds theory of Quantum physics would seem to back this up) If life from elsewhere exists however (and statistically it is likely) and we do not know about it, there are I think three possibilities. Such information has been classified, by us or by them They think we are dangerous and keep well away from us Or perhaps we ARE the first intelligent life to evolve in the universe/omniverse capable of deducing the likely hood of other sentient beings.
