There is simply no evidence to indicate or verify their existence in anything other than works of imagination and fiction. Saying atheism is a religion is like saying celibacy is a sex position.

There are in every ideology a small sub section of the oppressed who really like being so, and will be proudly paraded about by the oppressors as proof that they are not anti- what ever. I recall my own grandmother complaining that if she had to go through bad treatment by men, why should women's libbers think they had a right not to, they should just knuckle down and put up with it. There were women who fought against the Suffrajets, Jews (and Jewish descendants ) who fought **for** Hitler, black African Slavers and homosexual (pardon the expression) "Queer bashers" Self loathing is a recognised condition and often an excuse for indolence and or cowardice.

Outside Time and Space?
LenHazell53 comments on Oct 15, 2018:
Given that existence is defined as being able to be perceived as occupying space and moving through time, a being outside of time and space could have no motion and therefore could not be perceived as possessing any of the traits of existence, and therefore cannot exist. I can only conclude therefore the contention "God exists outside time and space" to be a Self-refuting statement.

God Fearing
LenHazell53 comments on Oct 14, 2018:
God Fearing was the standard description for Christians for much of the church's history. The idea of the loving God, is a fairly new idea that only became popular after the introduction of mass literacy. God was to be feared, not loved or respected, he was a king like any other king who ruled by force of arms and threats. Early Christians saw no contradiction in a god who demanded love, obedience and fear under threat of damnation, because that was what was normal to them.

It is the appropriation of the Causal Fallacy for the purposes of instilling fear and obedience in the ignorant and gullible. Throw in a good dollop of the argument from ignorance and you have a useful theological weapon. 1) State an intended course of action will provoke God's wrath 2) When course of action is pursued warn again of impending punishment refer to bible passages as "proof" 3) Wait until anything thing bad happens anywhere, then cry "I warned you" and equate bad thing with some biblical precedent 4) when asked how the events are connected declaim loudly "What else could it be" 5) If laughed at dare them to do it again and "see what happens" 6) repeat.
What is "Compartmentalization" with regard to religion?

It is a misuse of an actual world for the purposes of euphemistically excusing expedient hypocrisy.
