Yes but since a "mass" shooting (according to USA law) has to be three or more people, it is probably inaccurate. You can kill a thousand people a day with guns, but that doesn't count if it was done one or two at a time, it's not news worthy.

Great idea but with a few small changes 1) The Liberty state has to be on a volcanic island (to prove god will keep his own safe) 2) ALL Christians must go and live there, those who choose to remain must keep their faith in their own homes no where else, make no attempt to stand for office or impose their religious ideas on government state, federal or local, any attempt to do so will lead to immediate deportation to liberty for the offender. 3) Liberty will be allowed no army, national guard or other military or police, no guns and nothing that could be deemed to be in opposition to gods own peace which he personally will maintain among the true believers. 3a) No hospitals, doctors or medical facilities of any sort that might interfere with the will of god, god must not be denied souls when he calls them to him. 4)Witch and heretic burnings must use only renewable sources of clean fuel 5) They must at their own expense put up a large wall around the whole island to keep the rest of the world safe from them. 6) the last one of them to flee or die, must please turn out the lights.

LenHazell53 comments on May 30, 2019:
Not just Puerto Rico. You do know Some states still have forced sterilization laws in effect, such as Washington state. Even compensation payments for the victims of forced sterilization under the authorization of the Eugenics Board of North Carolina was not authorized until 2013 In North Carolina to provide justice and compensate 7,600 victims who were forcibly sterilized by the State of North Carolina from 1929 to 1974 in the state's eugenics program; $10 million set aside to be awarded beginning in June 2015 In 2003, Douglas Diekema wrote in Volume 9 of the journal Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Research Reviews that "involuntary sterilization ought not be performed on mentally retarded persons who retain the capacity for reproductive decision-making, the ability to raise a child, or the capacity to provide valid consent to marriage." those who do not retain the capacity can be sterilised on the say so of their family or the advice of their doctor. The American Journal of Bioethics published an article, in 2010, that concluded the interventions including hysterectomy and surgical removal of the breast buds from mentally and physically disabled children was permissible In June 2014, The inability to pay for the cost of raising children was given as a reason courts to have ordered coercive or compulsory sterilization.a Virginia judge ruled that a man on probation for child endangerment must be able to pay for his seven children before having more children; the man agreed to get a vasectomy as part of his plea deal. In 2013, an Ohio judge ordered a man owing nearly $100,000 in unpaid child support to "make all reasonable efforts to avoid impregnating a woman" (a vasectomy) this amounts to "constructive sterilization" for men unlikely to make child support payments. 148 female prisoners in two California institutions were sterilized between 2006 and 2010 in a supposedly voluntary program, but it was determined that the prisoners did not give consent to the procedures leading to the September 2014, California enacted Bill SB 1135 that bans sterilization in correctional facilities, unless the procedure shall be required in a medical emergency to preserve inmate's life. Discussions have yet to begin regarding forced sterilization in other states.

How would you know? UFO means Unidentified Flying Object, which of course by definition means of unknown origin. Many UFO are of perfectly explainable origin, for instance the first reports of "Triangular" UFO corespondent exactly with the development in secret of Stealth Bombers and Stealth fighters, that are of course triangular. Lots of UFOs with flashing red lights are seen around Airports. The advent of the flying saucer after WW2 again corespondent with the importing of huge amounts of Axis scientists brought in to the UK, USSR,USA as part of operation paperclip, one of the major Nazi Projects carried on was the so called "Glocken" an attempt to build circular high speed flying machines, that ultimately proved impractical and was dropped in favour of the Jet engine. Even if we accept that there are alien craft, Alien need not mean extra terrestrial, (after all Alien just means not local) if you are willing to accept alien means from another planet, why not another dimension, a quantum variant, another time, or an as yet undiscovered superior race of humans (Wakanda forever!) If we are alone in the universe is that because we are the first plant to evolve sentient life? Is it because we are the only planet capable? or are we the Last planet to survive evolving sentient life? It is an interesting idea to ponder, but until evidence is available is can be nothing more than that, an idea. LenHazell53 comments on May 26, 2019:
Of course it largely depends on how you are defining socialism, Hitler called himself a National socialist, but was an ultra nationalist, Stalin and Lenin called themselves socialists but were actually Bolshevik Communists, and then there are the supposed eight types of socialism, Democratic Socialism: Libertarian Socialism: Market Socialism: Green Socialism:  Christian Socialism: Utopian Socialism: Fabian Socialism:  Before you even get in to the other religious forms of socialism such as Islamic, Hindu and any other religion that advocated the equality of all humans regardless social standing. Then of course there is Humanitarianism that of course shares so much in principle with socialism in it's most reductionist form. Living in a country that has had socialist politics intertwined with ultra capitalism in almost equal measures for the past seventy years, resulting in a country that has free at the point of delivery health care for everyone, a respectable welfare state, relatively good laws on freedom of speech, religion and assembly, very low gun crime without outlawing gun ownership all together, good economic growth and up until relatively recently some of the greatest statesmen and women the world has ever known ... I will simply have to agree to disagree. So when the subject is discussed one has to define EXACTLY which form of socialism is being discussed to avoid immediately butting heads.

Donald J. Trump on Twitter: "“PELOSI STAMMERS THROUGH NEWS CONFERENCE”… "

The Trump era will be one of those looked back on with incredulity by future generations who with much head scratching will demand to know why no one did anything or even noticed how insane he was.

I must be one of the few who loved all the SST films including the animated one, great world building and terrific monsters, what more could you want. Hope this pans out.
A big plus indeed

Love all trust few do wrong to none
LenHazell53 comments on May 24, 2019:
Define "wrong" these days, the concept is so subjective everything is *wrong* to someone. Further, my love like my respect and my trust is not given it is earned. People too often confuse love with care and compassion, I can hate someone's guts and still be compassionate to them, but I won't suddenly love them.

As I have found to my cost (twice now) however giving up a seat or a place in a queue to a woman perceived to be in need gets you only an ear full of abuse and the label of ***sexist patronizing pig***, but then of course I'm white and a man so whatever I do is likely to be wrong to a member of the permanently offended millennial light weight brigade.

"Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration." Frank Herbert when you can make people fear, they will, pay any price, accept any hardship, fight any war, on the promise of making the fear go away. Fear is the mind killer.
Yep... I bet most of the men supporting these abortion bills would react like this.

Can we prove something doesn't exists, if it does not exist?
LenHazell53 comments on May 24, 2019:
No it is a silly idea and a dishonest rhetorical trick to ask for proof of non existence. All that can be done is to demonstrate **why** we know something DOES exist and then show the lack of the same criteria and evidence that make it probable other things such as a god for example DO NOT exist. However since there are a literally infinite number of things that DON'T exist I am not going to waste my time on that which *is not*, when there is so much *that is* to take an interest in.

Rabbi Baruch Efrati is not a typical Rabbi, nor even a Typical Jew, he is a leading member of the ultra Zionist and fundamentalist group of extreme Israeli Rabbis known as “Kavnekim” (literally the hard liners) They preach the oppression of women, extreme modesty in clothing, literal adherence of the teachings of the Torah and Talmud and scriptural punishments for breaking any of gods "rules". They are in short The Westboro Baptist Church of Judaism

The native Americans believe that all things, animate or inanimate have "manitou" a living force, and that as their are good and bad people there are good and bad things. If a weapon or tool has bad manitou it should be destroyed as it will turn on it's master. Oddly in the car industry there is an accepted phemomena called a rogue car, a vehicle exactly like all others from the same production line batch, that constantly goes wrong, breaks down, refuses to start or seemingly tries to kill it's own driver(s). Rogue cars are taken so seriously they are often scrapped after being returned once or twice. Like wise in architecture there is the phenomena of "Sick Building Syndrome" a building that makes it's occupants ill, causes business done from it to fail and has unending problems with building faults for no readily apparent reason. In Japan such buildings are often exorcised, in America they are blessed, these ritual appear to work which suggests to me they are psychological problems cured by a placebo in our culture we have RESISTENTIALISM

Apparently Jiff is an abbreviation of this word, but has come to have a separate meaning as in "back in a Jiff" meaning I will return in a very short period of time or a Jiffy bag a padded envelope for fast postage.
