They only usually say this after they have no more arguments and are threatening to have their god step in and forcibly change my mind, so I ask why it was five minutes ago they were all for free will and want god to brainwash me. At this point they will say no, that's not it, so I ask just what they are praying for me for? They never have an answer. Or I ask does anything happen that is not in gods plan when they inevitably say no, I point out god then must want me to be an atheist and is it not presumptuous to disagree with god. On the one occasion when some one said yes, I gleefully followed up with pointing out that god was therefore not all powerful in their opinion and that saying such was blasphemy

You can almost guarantee the person saying it is about to be totally disrespectful based on spurious reasoning and and ill informed nonsense. I do NOT have faith that there is/are no god(s) I simple have no evidence to justify my believing in it or them, because no evidence exists. Therefore I adopt the default position that the contention that there are deities has not meet the burden of proof and so can be disregarded until such time as it does. Faith in the religious sense is the answer given by desperate religious people when there is no evidence reason or logic for holding a belief, it is irrational and stupid to do so, but is given undue tolerance and respect based on hundreds of years of social indoctrination by religion. I don't ask for evidence of the non existence of pixies, why should I need evidence for the non existence of deity.

Sorry but what she is wearing is not an hijab. It is an aerodynamic tight head covering more akin to a balaclava helmet designed to control wind resistance caused by longer hair, the thing even has a Nike symbol on it. An hijab is a head scarf and there are strict conventions on what constitutes one, how it is folded and worn and how it is held in place. My father in a life time of working very hard managed to raise himself from working class to lower middle class and in all that time always voted Tory and held very right wing views. I asked him why once and his answer stunned me "I vote for the people who understand money" I pointed out the people he voted for only understood two things about money, how to steal it and how to hold on to it. He nodded sagely and tapping his nose said "Exactly" as if this explained everything. He is a fine example of the mentality of the poor who feel that somehow granting the favour of a vote to his "betters" will some how oblige them to look after him. He hates socialism but demands his old age pension as a right, his free NHS medicine, eye care and dentistry and will not believe that they did not come from "Mr. Churchill" winning "the war" which they did not, our health service and welfare state are all products of socialism. This is the problem with many of the "Greatest generation" they are convinced that people should know their place, be grateful for scraps, and worship the upper classes as benevolent god who they hope will smile upon them, pat them on the head and tell them what good boys and girls they are.

It is possible that the universe has some form of consciousness, not one that we would recognize as comparably akin to our own thought processes, more likely to be similar to an amorphous entity such as an amoeba. However consciousness as a fundamental entity that exists both inside and outside brains is a concept I find unlikely. Consciousness is a result of active thought and is simply a descriptor to differentiate waking and sleeping, or active and passive states of brain function. It is purely a set of internal chemical and electrical functions of the brain.

There are varying interpretations of the carpenter of Nazareth in Hinduism, some seeing him as an historical figure embodying the missionary spirit, others seeing him as a yogi (see a Hindu view of Christ (Branden Books, 1949) by Swami Akhilananda) Yet others such as Gandhi and Radhakrishnan looked at Christ seeing him as an avatar of divine origin. Ralph Bakshi was infamous for rotascoping and was often vilified for it by other animators, even though he often pointed out the technique had been learned at Disney studios, who swore blind they did not use it, even though they did as was proven when footage of Marjorie Celeste Belcher (AKA Margie Bell) was unearthed in the 1970s of her performing as Snow White for the Disney movie animators to rotoscope back in the 30s. Scar mongering nonsense all most ALL food contains such heavy metals as Nickel, cadmium, mercury, zinc, arsenic,Chromium, sodium, potassium, uranium, copper and selenium . Organic brown rice, bananas, nuts (especially wall nuts and Brazil nut), and leafy green vegetables, fish (ALL FISH) even water contains trace amounts of these metals and ALWAYS HAS, in some cases lack of these minerals can cause ill health. Only lead is a dangerous none naturally occurring contaminant found in foods, but the minuscule amounts entering the food chain are decreasing as the internal combustion engine both improves and is being phased out. You are more likely to get lead poisoning from living and breathing near a major road than through ingestion. The key word is TRACE, in food sciences trace can mean as little as 1 part per Billion.
