[nbcnews.com] Will Trump shut down the government to fight impeachment?
LenHazell53 comments on Oct 23, 2019:
His presidency has been the biggest networking operation in history, it does not matter to him now if he leave the Whitehouse under a cloud, in a coffin, or in a police van. Like Nixon before him he will be pardoned, will go back to his work of schmoozing and will enact all the deals his time as dickhead in chief have allowed him to set up all over the world. He will forever have the secret service to protect him, grateful rich friends and the right to sign himself president Trump on every business document he ever signs. He is a made man, as are his idiot elder sons, his smarmy son in law, his protege daughter and the other two who have the sense to keep their heads down.
A White Trash Manifesto
LenHazell53 comments on Oct 23, 2019:
My father in a life time of working very hard managed to raise himself from working class to lower middle class and in all that time always voted Tory and held very right wing views. I asked him why once and his answer stunned me "I vote for the people who understand money" I pointed out the people he voted for only understood two things about money, how to steal it and how to hold on to it. He nodded sagely and tapping his nose said "Exactly" as if this explained everything. He is a fine example of the mentality of the poor who feel that somehow granting the favour of a vote to his "betters" will some how oblige them to look after him. He hates socialism but demands his old age pension as a right, his free NHS medicine, eye care and dentistry and will not believe that they did not come from "Mr. Churchill" winning "the war" which they did not, our health service and welfare state are all products of socialism. This is the problem with many of the "Greatest generation" they are convinced that people should know their place, be grateful for scraps, and worship the upper classes as benevolent god who they hope will smile upon them, pat them on the head and tell them what good boys and girls they are.

LenHazell53 comments on Oct 23, 2019:
It is possible that the universe has some form of consciousness, not one that we would recognize as comparably akin to our own thought processes, more likely to be similar to an amorphous entity such as an amoeba. However consciousness as a fundamental entity that exists both inside and outside brains is a concept I find unlikely. Consciousness is a result of active thought and is simply a descriptor to differentiate waking and sleeping, or active and passive states of brain function. It is purely a set of internal chemical and electrical functions of the brain.

LenHazell53 comments on Oct 23, 2019:
There are varying interpretations of the carpenter of Nazareth in Hinduism, some seeing him as an historical figure embodying the missionary spirit, others seeing him as a yogi (see a Hindu view of Christ (Branden Books, 1949) by Swami Akhilananda) Yet others such as Gandhi and Radhakrishnan looked at Christ seeing him as an avatar of divine origin. So basically you should have no real problems if you wish to do this with the Hindus if not the Christians. Ralph Bakshi was infamous for rotascoping and was often vilified for it by other animators, even though he often pointed out the technique had been learned at Disney studios, who swore blind they did not use it, even though they did as was proven when footage of Marjorie Celeste Belcher (AKA Margie Bell) was unearthed in the 1970s of her performing as Snow White for the Disney movie animators to rotoscope back in the 30s. The technique was invented by the Fleisher Brothers of Popeye fame.

Spacial description followed by temporal description almost always precedes a physical description, in common speech, probably as an aid to mental visualization. The building before them was ancient and decrepit, for example allows for building up of a picture A building, subject sets up what, before them, where it is, ancient, from when, decrepit how it stands. Descriptors basically follow a variation on Kipling's honest serving men Who/What, Where, when, how, why (Though "when" can be transposed to almost anywhere in the sentence and retain meaning especially if it remains adjacent to the subject) The carpenter (who/what) approaching (where) appeared youngish(when) agitated (how) but purposeful (why) However if the writer wishes to invoke suspense and mystery information is released in reverse he or she might say Before them (where) a decrepit (rot? what is rotting?) old (the cause of the rot) building (Aha now it is revealed to me) the picture emerges slowly as if appearing out of a fog. Purposefully approaching them, was an agitated, youngish looking carpenter. You might also look in to the difference between the passive and active voice to get more insight in to this. A similar trick is used to great effect in Star Wars when Yoda speaks, by preceding the subject with the action or object and finishing with the verb his ever utterance is mysterious and reveals only slowly what he means. "Lost a planet, Master Kenobi has, how embarrassing" "When 400 years old you are, look so good you will?"

Scar mongering nonsense all most ALL food contains such heavy metals as Nickel, cadmium, mercury, zinc, arsenic,Chromium, sodium, potassium, uranium, copper and selenium . Organic brown rice, bananas, nuts (especially wall nuts and Brazil nut), and leafy green vegetables, fish (ALL FISH) even water contains trace amounts of these metals and ALWAYS HAS, in some cases lack of these minerals can cause ill health. Only lead is a dangerous none naturally occurring contaminant found in foods, but the minuscule amounts entering the food chain are decreasing as the internal combustion engine both improves and is being phased out. You are more likely to get lead poisoning from living and breathing near a major road than through ingestion. The key word is TRACE, in food sciences trace can mean as little as 1 part per Billion.

Replaced now with What's troubling you? Where as "What's up" comes from what is uppermost in you life? and is a general inquiry after well being. The difference is subtle and stems from Up simply meaning moving higher and Upon being an order in which objects or concepts are stacked or ranked.

I have seen this venn diagram or variations on it many times before and I have always found it unnecessarily over complicated. ** Theists believes in the existence of god(s) regardless of evidence Atheists do not find sufficient evidence to do so.** Every thing else is either a personal choice or an inability to be decisive. None which ultimately needs to be labeled. The most simple test I can think of is if your child is dying is your first inclination to call a doctor or a priest to save then? If a doctor you are instinctively atheist, if a priest you are an idiot.
Heard about the heavy stone paradox the other day.
LenHazell53 comments on Oct 20, 2019:
The paradox relies on a number of presuppositions all of which are purported by the Christian (and other) religions, but not by secular thinkers. First among these is the existence of a god(s) Second is that given the existence of such, he she or it is the creator of all things Third given that this too is so that the being is supreme and all powerful All of these things can only be taken on faith, or on faith in scripture as being true. If the god(s) don't exist the whole paradox is null and void If there is not a single creator or there is no creation there is no paradox If the god(s) do exist but are capable of lying there is no paradox If the creator god(s) are not omnipotent but have been lying there is no paradox. This is an ontological theological word game or riddle meant to pop the bubble of religious pomposity and nothing more.

The strap was used by some of my school masters, but most preferred the "Board ruler" a one yard long wooden rule, half an inch wide or the classic bamboo cane. However some teachers had imaginative and much worse punishments such as having you stand at the front of the class, arm stretched out palms up with a hard back book laid on each hand, dropping either book got you the strap, lowering your arms got you the strap, whimpering got you the strap. However an hour of holding out the books at arms length for an hour cramped up you shoulders for days after ward. Of course some of the less imaginative simply threw a broad eraser at your head with deadly accuracy. Of course if you went home and complained you got another smack of your parents for "showing them up" or shaming them by misbehaving in school

There is a story told by Winston Churchill in his biography that while on a train as young officer one of his companions was being noisy and troublesome. So the CO threw a bible at the man and told him to sit still and read every word of it. The chap reluctantly began to do so, however after a few minutes he began to giggle, whistle and make appreciative comments. Finally the CO lost his temper and demanded to know what the junior officer found so amusing. "I never read the bible before sir," he replied. "It's wonderful, wish I'd read it years ago." "Well good," said the CO "Which part do you like best?" "Oh this God characters sir," came the reply "He's great what a fucking bastard!"

The only answer most religious people have to this is the free will argument, but this of course if countered by the counter argument that god obvious does not view all his children equally nor love them equally as the free will and happiness of the pervert obviously overrides the freewill and happiness of the victim in this scenario. Or else that "god" is so keen on punishment rather than prevention that he will allow crime to happen just so he can punish and torture the perpetrator afterward. Either way this proposed god is a sick twisted and evil individual quite at odds with the purported loving god of the NT.

Fear of reality is the main recruiting tool that religion remaining in its box of tricks and illusions. However more and more people have ceased to fear the idea that death is the end, even religious people find the traditional idea of heaven to be silly and the threat of Hell despicable. Mainstream churches are complaining that their congregations are dying off and young people are not coming in to replace the oldies. Though people in their fifties and sixties will claim a belief in god, most only attend church for weddings and funerals and christenings are becoming rarer as parents decide to leave baptism for the children to decide on when they get older. Religion is fading in the west (except for in parts of the USA) because desperation and poverty are fading in the west except for in the USA, it is no coincidence that people turn to god when there is no medical and welfare system to turn to and where losing your job can mean your children may die from a treatable illness but you cannot afford to pay for the drugs.

Evil like good is purely contextual, governed by motive and circumstance. Nothing else not even intent. Acts and items cannot be inherently evil. If I kill a man to take his money, that is bad if I kill a man to stop him hurting a child that is right but neither action is evil or good. Part of the problem is that people confuse evil with immoral, bad, incorrect, unethical, wicked, pragmatic and a whole lot of other words carrying negative insinuations. Like these other word "evil" has particular connotation, it smacks of cruelty above all, of an absence of compassion, and of course a disrespect for life itself. Actual evil is rare because a fully evil act require that no good will come of it, not even joy or satisfaction to the the perpetrator. An act of pure good is done for no reason other than that is is a good thing to do, likewise an act of pure evil is done simply because it it is an evil thing to do. Imagine the mentality you would have to have to carry out purely evil acts.

They rely on the fact that most people are two good mannered to tell the ass in the pulpit to STFU. *terms and conditions apply

Unbelievable! Ben Shapiro Threatens Beto O’Rourke With Gun Violence Because The Gays ...
LenHazell53 comments on Oct 12, 2019:
Ben Shapiro is an arrogant little pipsqueak, who has been nothing but a source of noise pollution for the last few decades. HE REMINDS ME OF Mike Teevee from the Charlie and the chocolate factory story, endlessly whining in an unbearable high pitched nasal drawl, because he cannot have his own way and firing off cap guns because he thinks they make him look tough. This deformed mini Muppet is perhaps the most irritation thing in the media since the smurf records of the 1970s.

I read recently of an out brake of infant herpes being traced back to a traditionalist Jewish mohel who insisted on the age old practice of sucking away the foreskin of his victims even though he knew he was infected. He thought gawd would protect the children from his disgusting negligence since it was by divine command. Male and female circumcision is a filthy abomination, mutilation and an abuse that should be outlawed in civilized society other than in cases of medical need ( I am assured by a doctor friend of mine that there are two conditions that do occur naturally that require partial male circumcision, none that require full ones in males and none that require anything like the mutilation required by female circumcision)
Law School Applications Increase Upon Realization That Any Fucking Idiot Can Be Lawyer

Lawyers like to call themselves the oldest profession in the world, when you point out that this is supposed to be prostitution they usually say, when you visit either of them you want satisfaction, you get fucked and end up giving them most of your money so what is the difference

LenHazell53 comments on Oct 10, 2019:
The west is moving toward the unavoidable conclusion that what is in the public interest and those things members of the public are interested in; they are not necessarily the same. One person one vote democracy was introduced for the governance of city states divided between patricians and the proletariat not for countries comprised of literally millions of essentially equal and partially educated people. The new system that will inevitably replace it will be totally alien if brought about by force of arms, the only way to avoid this is to bring about a revision of the system by taking away the simple right to vote and replacing it by a system of *meritorious earned votes*. In short you must accept that though you have the right to vote, that right comes with responsibilities, the first of which is to express an interest by an application to vote. Once you have applied you must then prove by a simple test that you are knowledgeable about the system of government, the differences between political ideologies, this to be done by simple factual questions an 80% score being required to pass. Likewise politician must pass a similar test in order to stand for office and corruption in office to be punishable by a life time ban and heavy putative measures. On the basis of this once given a vote it becomes illegal NOT to vote (though in the absence of a suitable candidate you will be allowed an abstention vote) failing to vote to held on a level with wasting police time or contempt of court, and resulting in a fine and the loss of your right to vote for a set period of time. This will do away with the idea of farming votes from the ill informed and the fanatical In short it must be insured that democracy is taken seriously and in a spirit of understanding so as it can never again descend in to a simple popularity and reality game show. People's lives and society are far to important for that!

What did you expect from Trump, he knows better so he will simply ignore it. It is his way of dealing with everything, my way or the high way. It is childish narcissism, eventually they will probably have to lead him out of the White house using an ice cream truck full of porn stars on the front lawn or a piece of fried chicken on a fishing line, he certainly won't go in a dignified manner and any election he does not win will be "fake news"

1 is blatantly untrue one of the greatest causes of loneliness is over work so placing duty over care. 2 is nonsense, you can cause yourself to be alone, loneliness is involuntary 3 is true and thank goodness for it. Being alone is often the only relief from having to continually practice tolerance of the intolerable 4 is living a deluded lie and is the very definition of the religious state of mind
