Reality is becoming a satire of history. "Hyperreality is the inability of consciousness to distinguish reality from a simulation of reality, especially in technologically advanced societies." Jean Baudrillard When the simulation of reality becomes instead a simulacrum ( a copy or imitation of a perceived reality that does not actually exist) history is no longer what it used to be and nostalgia takes on a whole new meaning.

The sheer depth and breath of the network that this beast of human was the public face of is terrifying, it will never be clear just how much leverage he has on the legal system charged with bringing him to justice. The mention of the Maxwell family in the article is chilling, for a time in the UK Maxwell (known colloquially in the UK as the bouncing Czech) was second only to Murdoch in media power. His supposed "death" and actual disappearance is still a matter of great controversy and the information he took with him is a matter of lamentation for his victims. Therefore Epstein's revelations if he choses to capitalize on them could cause repercussions globally, so much is now creeping toward the light of public scrutiny that only a matter of years ago would have been seen as the wildest of conspiracy theories that the fabric of society is about to be shaken from its roots to its highest branches. I see only two outcomes, a gross miscarriage of justice and another escape and exile for the monster, or his death, by convenient accident, assassination or suicide.

My late writing partner once described to me the dangers of revisionist history as a blight on the collective memory of the world. The fact that there are people who against all reason and evidence claim the holocaust never happed place themselves in the historical cannon, and as the events move in to evermore distant history, out of living memory then all that remain are the testimonies of the witnesses and historians among who will be the deniers seeding doubt for the remainder of time. For every thousand historians who tell th truth, there is and always will be one who says it was all a lie, diluting the facts. We all know Princess Diana died in he tunnel in Paris in 1997, but there are those who claim it was faked, she lived on elsewhere, in 100 years time reports from 1997 and 2017 won't seem that far apart, and some of those guys made a pretty good case and of course there is no proof she did not fake it.... etc, etc etc. Fake doubt is the cancer of history, and it must be a great comfort to the modern Fascist to think he is being unjustly blamed for a holocaust that never happened in the war years, propagate by people who just have it in for his ideology and want to silence his "truth".

LenHazell53 comments on Jul 9, 2019:
Amen is often explained to mean so be it in Hebrew, it does not, there is a similar Hebrew word, with a guttural stress on both vowels sounding rather like Ach-mench which actually means Verily or Certainly. The word Amen actually predated Judaism and the Hebrew language by millenia, it is found in ancient Egyptian text, Babylonian and Sumerian, similar words are also found in Arabic, Aramaic, Hindi and Urdu, there are even similar words used for ending prayer in the mesoAmerican ancient tongues and Chinese. However there is a much repeated theory that Amen is the name of the Sun God Amun, this is not true as the god Amun's name is distinct in the written prayers to him ending in Amen, to claim other wise is to say in English that you can legitimately call Jesus the *Lard* and Saviour and say it's okay because Lords are made from blocks of Lard.

LenHazell53 comments on Jul 9, 2019:
Peterson is a brilliant orator, and a fine rhetorician, that however is not any indication that he has anything worthwhile to say, only that he says it well. Peterson has a knack for drawing attention to himself, for stating controversial opinions in ways designed to provoke both the overly sensitive and the media. He is also a fine strategist planning his interviews and debates to be three steps ahead of his interlocutors by basically anticipating how he would destroy his own arguments if in their place, and then calculating facetious Ad hominem or mockeries to bring the audience on to his own side. His demolition of Cathy Newman on channel four news was a master piece of "forewarned is forearmed" knowing exactly her technique and having prepared counter measures.

Boffola (noun) a joke or a line in a script designed to get a laugh.
LenHazell53 comments on Jul 2, 2019:
Boffola is an odd word that seems to have come about in the 1940s derived from Boffo which was Italian slang for "really good or popular" (same root as Boffin for a clever person). Boffo was popular in circus' for hundreds of years (especially in Italy, nb. In Latin Bo fo mean so be it) as a clown name for a carefree fellow. Bofo (sic) appears in the writing of of an anonymous contemporary of Chaucer in "the most lamentable tragedy of Titus Andronicus" written in middle English and one of Shakespeare's sources where it used as a comedy name for backside or Buttocks. How ever I feel the most like derivative in this sense is the Italian slang Boffo La "There's Good/best Bit (here)"

However since smoking was banned airlines have be decreasing the regularity of air replacement as a cost saving measure (air is stored on board in very expensive super cooled liquid form and heated before being placed in to the Ventilation system). Some airline only change the air once every two hours, leading to a large ratio of methane and carbon dioxide building up in the air, leading to headaches, jet lag, air rage and nausea. Tory leadership. Which do you think is/are the most important of quality(ies) for a leader.?
LenHazell53 comments on Jun 28, 2019:
It depends upon from which perspective you are coming to the question. The requisite qualities for being a Tory leader are totally different from those required to be a competent leader of a country. For example in order to be a Tory leader one must by necessity hold certain views and priorities that are completely at odd with being humane, since right wing political philosophy is entirely pragmatic, materially based and denies rights to the individual when they come into conflict with the financial, economic or the state. Like wise much Tory doctrine is based upon the idea of trickle down economics theorizing that the financia well being of the elite will result in financial well being of all. This is a proven fallacy but is no the less an almost "sacred" doctrine of right wing political thinking along with the idea that people are a near infinite resource however money and property are not and so should be given superior legal status. Left wing thinking begins with the general doctrine that the well being of all citizens will by necessity result in a better society for all, that life outweighs property and that there is no default criteria to define a social elite other that achievement for the benefit of all. Therefore a "good" Tory leader will offer a package of policies and assure it is what you want and expect you to trust him/her. A "good" leader will look at what is needed and provide it and then will bring about a situation where your wants may be earned fairly.

Prolific horror novelist Graham Masterton's first two books were sex education books, apparently homicidal dead red Indian medicine men were more profitable.
You agree?

It is subjective, if you have something to offer that only a few others can do, you can be as unsociable or socially inept as you like and you will still do well in life. On the other hand you can be the most likable, calm person in the world, if you are illiterate, or a moron you will never raise past the level of society you were born in to.
DAMN YOU ABC... airing a show like this is just,, UN AMERICAN!!! [youtube.com]

In the UK most restaurants and retail outlets display a sign that say "The management reserve the right to refuse service" If this sign is displayed and some one is asked to leave they must do so or the police may be called NO reason should be given. If a reason IS given and that reason is illegal (prejudicial) then it may be contested later in court unless the objection is withdrawn, but if NO reason is given it is perfectly legal for an owner to ask anyone to leave their premises so long as it is not designated a public space.
Trump Was 'Cocked And Loaded' To Strike Iran - YouTube

I'm afraid that this expression "Cocked and loaded" is NOT a mistake, though I doubt Trump knew that. It is a musketry term, to be cocked and loaded was the response give by musketeers when demanded of by their bombardier "Phalanx Ready?" Three ranks One standing and loading with powder and shot having just fired One kneeling waiting to fire loaded but not cocked (Pulling back the spring load flint striker) One kneeling ready to fire cocked and loaded on the command "Volley"
Does anyone else worry that they're dumb and just don't realize it?
