I don't know what to tell you. I know your neighborhood makes a difference. I would talk to therapist. There is a way to get past this trouble you are experiencing. I have always been able to fight my way out of trouble, but there have been times where it was beyond my ability to solve my problem by my self, so talk to some one.Your friends are an invaluable resource.

Leutrelle comments on Feb 26, 2018:
When I think of someone suffering, I think of of a mortal threat. If they were not a mortal threat to me, I would help. I grew up where allies meant everything. I had 2 friends killed by biker clubs, and I carried a fie arm just in case. If I could have helped my dead friends, I am sure I would have.

Have you ever known anyone to fall victim to a scam? Or, are most people wary enough to avoid them?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 26, 2018:
I know of one who went to a meeting that was to be rewarded with a place to stay and a good dinner at a high end resort. He wasted his trip and got nothing in return. I went to a resort in Kauai, and they wanted to sell time shares. I received a call saying I was supposed to go to one of their meetings. I said "OK", but I unplugged my phone, and never heard from them again. I saw the the poor fuckers who were listening to the very long presentation, and just smiled. I missed the sales pitch factor.

Do you save seeds from your veggie garden to plant next year?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 20, 2018:
I save heirloom seeds. I am changing windows in my house this spring, and plan to build a green house with the old windows. I am looking forward to gardening again:) We live at 5000 feet, and a green house is necessary. I will be digging out some of my old seeds, and will plant them next year.

We all have been in situations like this.. anyone care to share..
Leutrelle comments on Feb 17, 2018:
I can not feel that puppies pain. The only place I remember was in a completely different context. In the sixties I was camping about twenty miles off road at a designated camping spot in Yosemite (it might have been RAINBOW FALLS). I had encountered a big black bear early in the day. It walked through our camp ground while we were eating lunch! We wondered why the bear didn't just eat us? We just ate dinner and we raced to the the out house. I got there first, and my buddy told me,"Hey there is a bear out side the out house"! I said "Bull Shit", and he replied "I can show you! "I said open the door". He carefully used a stick to open my door. He said, "See I told ya". If I ever had a problem dealing with call to nature it was then. That was the biggest bear ever saw at 10' , and I never seen a bigger bear! I just yelled, "Close the god damm door, throw a rock at him!! It was like magic, and I was out of the squeeze;)

What Kids Are Really Learning About Slavery - The Atlantic
Leutrelle comments on Feb 16, 2018:
It is hard to believe. As a youngen we all new about slavery and how unjust slavery was, and the civil war was fought to correct this unjust conduct. I would think that parents would chime in and help their children understand.

Leutrelle comments on Feb 16, 2018:
I didn't grow up with mass shootings. There was murder, and drug related murder, but no mass shootings. Something has changed in our society, I don't think it is just about guns. I wonder why some people are willing to plan, and then execute defenseless people? What is wrong with their brain? What is different in society now? What makes society more dangerous today, than the 60's or 70's?
To what extent do you believe "with age comes wisdom?"
Leutrelle comments on Feb 16, 2018:
I think wisdom comes from the ability to shed light on a subject which was discovered through refection on an experience, or perhaps a blunder.
These are two topics that are very much present at my family dinner table.
Leutrelle comments on Feb 15, 2018:
Civility is what is missing in much of political and religious discourse. We could learn much from each other with a little respect. I think we are manipulated by the media, and our politicians. I always wonder who benefits from such a polarized politician?

Well, did the NRA congress start offering thoughts and prayers to the victims of the school shooting...
Leutrelle comments on Feb 15, 2018:
It's a cop out to blame he NRA. They only represent responsible gun owner ship. I only hope we can see that hate is our real enemy. No body with a sane mind is going to kill. I am barely sane, and assure you that I would never kill any one.
What is going to take?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 15, 2018:
ISIS hates anyone who doesn't agree with their hard line politics. This is a war against basic freedom. if you are a woman and desire to wear a burka then you are safe. Other wise we have to view it as war. We must be Muslim or die! The only thing we are left with is to defend our liberty. What we face is similar to the dark ages when the Catholics ruled. It is sad but we have to fight. against such tyranny.
Here we go again. Crank up the "thoughts and prayers" machine.

I appreciate that you shared this video. People are really physiologically affected by the paranormal, and the myths of of our ancestors. Our parents, and grandparents have had an effect on our religious thinking. The sense of smell was interesting how people are influenced by suggestion. Thumbs up man.

Can a moderate have a place in this agnostic site?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 10, 2018:
Moderate to me means: I am pro abortion, pro spending money to help the homeless get jobs and homes, I am pro civil rights, and I am pro green. I am pro gun rights, pro LFTR energy, and pro industry for good paying jobs:) I am agnostic! Does this mean I have to be A LEFT LEANING LIBERAL TO BE IN THE CLUB?

Do you have a tendency to over think things?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 9, 2018:
My motto is to: Be Prepared. But not to the point of paralysis. I am a good planer/prep per, but I have to be able to prepare and survive my decision, and learn from my mistake. The moral is my mistake is usually insignificant. Although I am dealing with with some big issues now, and I fear a mistake could be way past insignificant;) I guess we all have to have a first?
If someone is dying and a bystander chooses not to help, should they be held responsible?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 8, 2018:
I wouldn't recommend not saving a drowning person unless you have a flotation device. It is very dangerous to try to save a drowning victim, and sometimes two people drown as a result. I would try to stop someone from bleeding to death, but other than that, I really don't have many life saving skills. That being said I would do what ever I thought I could do to help.

What does American greatness mean to you?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 7, 2018:
This is a great country! There is not one country that hasn't made some terrible mistakes. I am proud to to be American. I don't think we'r perfect, but we are a great republic. I think the world had a different opinion during WW2. We weren't the only ones involved in slavery. However my family fought in the civil war to free slaves! America's greatness is it's stand for freedom.

Who else will ignore Valentine's day?
Leutrelle comments on Feb 7, 2018:
I always have! It was some FF-ing capitalist that probably owned a chocolate company that bribed a politician to make Valentine's Day a official holiday. Your dammed if you do and most certainly dammed if you don't. I'd rather show love when I'm in the mood, and not because the calendar says I should!
