@SiouxcitySue Cats in the wild cull their young who are sick to keep from infecting the stronger ones in the litter. Keep in mind they live under harsh conditions and this is no different from early humans... As for what attracts dogs.... A) cats are carnivores while dogs are slightly omnivorous, B) dogs often roll in fecal matter to cover their own scent for hunting, C) dogs aren't the brightest crayons in the box and just appears so to humans who like animals who do stupid pet tricks, Being freaked out by a cat's eyes is a matter of prejudice they are designed to be far sighted so they sit back at least 4 feet wile watching you or looking into your own eyes. Their eyes are also designed for better night vision than ours are.
