Seeing how he worked on both the California aquaduct and Hoover Dam he was a bit over qualified. I was also a com/nav tech and doubled as an aviation electrician in a couple helo squadrons. I have worked in several jobs that required extensive electrical and electronic background knowledge working with everything from millivolts to 660 VAC.
