@Castlepaloma The Chinese hold about 1.3 trillion in US bonds while the US holds about 900 billion in Chinese bonds.... To put that in prospective there is a 400 billion dollar difference but Chinese debt is very risky and has been declared void on at least two occasions while US debt never has. To put the difference in proper prospective that 400 billion in debt is less than Californians pay for 6 months of electric bills.... Not really all that much at all. I always laugh when people ask about "debt" and show they don't understand a thing about bonds or how they work...
