LovinLarge replies on Dec 26, 2020:
@Mofo1953 You're properly unnerved because your argument is nonsensical. I can't change my childhood and although Christmas has a religious connotation, it never has for my family. Nothing is being denied except your ability to mount a cogent argument. I have yet to see you contribute anything of value to any thread. Calling your wife your "housekeeper" was particularly offensive. You are unworthy of my time. Blocked.

@Mofo1953 It's awfully hard to take someone seriously who has the extremely poor judgment to even try to argue that there's something wrong with me enjoying my childhood memories from Christmas. I guess that's a standard you impose on others but don't hold yourself to.

So here's the funny thing about that. I used to go to a meetup group for skeptics, atheist and agnostics as it turned out. As a general comment, they had poor social skills, were unnecessarily argumentative, were unfriendly and downright unkind to each other. I was not the target of any of those behaviors because I kept a very low profile once I saw how they treated each other. I can't recall seeing a group of religious people treat each other similarly, so strictly on the issue of who is better company I have to go with religious people. No one who knows I am an atheist ever raises the issue of religion with me and that is good enough for me.

It's what conservatism had become. Basically bigotry and hatred. Bad things. True conservatism is frugality with government debt, spending and a strong military. Not necessarily bad things.

In theory only, in terms of national debt and deficits. Republican presidents have added more to the national debt and deficits. The USA is not the world police. Defend from within.
