Lucy_Fehr comments on Jan 12, 2020:
I find both photos amusing and would not reject someone for posting a photo of themselves on the throne; in fact it would capture my interest I myself have a somewhat juvenile sense of humor and found myself stifled in relationships where I was chastised by a partner as if they were my parent for being "immature" Oddly, these same people found me too old fashioned for refusing to break my word, being reliable and dependable, and having higher morals than them such as not taking funds for hurricane relief just because I could (there were $500 cards being given out without verification as long as you said you had a loss- my "loss" was having to cook a month's worth of entrees in a few days and letting the grands eat all the ice cream at once) I was able to make up the missed work hours and/or use vacation hours so I was only inconvenienced but nearly everyone I knew said I was stupid for not taking the free money including my bosses who make 5 times my salary. But thinking farts are funny makes me undesirable lol

Are you pulling any April Fool's Day pranks on Easter?
Lucy_Fehr comments on Mar 25, 2018:
My pranks backfire. Once I gave my son condoms as a gag gift; his excitement and declaration that he really needed them definately made the joke on me. My daughter at one time had my only grandkids so she enjoyed an elevated status. My son, daughter in law and myself cooked up a plan to convince my daughter they were having a baby. We all expected her to be unhappy about it. Nope she was so damn happy and excited that her baby brother was gonna have a baby that she cried. So we felt like assholes. The only "prank" that ever succeeded was when I heard someone was gonna egg me from their car so I hid in my boat and threw spoiled eggs in their car when they pulled up
I have a question I'd really like some input on.

Star Trek, Lost in Space, Batman
How Y’all, Youse and You Guys Talk.
Lucy_Fehr comments on Apr 18, 2018:
I took one of these last year and it said Wisconson where I have never been. This one says Greensboro, Raleigh, Richmond where I have also not been except to drive through on my way to Ohio. There were several questions where I use more than one answer so I suspect that made a difference as well. I was born in southern rural Indiana but moved to Florida when I was 12. Have lived here since mid 70s

Best advice for someone new to hiking
Lucy_Fehr comments on May 31, 2018:
I spent $150 on a pair of hiking boots and they are worth every penny. I broke them in by wearing them to work for a few hours a day. I do carry a lot of water because it is Florida but recently bought a camel pack which is a backpack with a 2liter bladder that holds water. I only go solo on well known local trails that will eventually end up where I started

Lucy_Fehr comments on Jan 27, 2018:
I don't care what they do with the money. They're homeless and I'm not. I have been homeless in the sense that I lost my home after an illness and had to rent a room but I had a job because I had a vehicle and understand just how quickly I could be one of them. As a matter of fact, had I not had a retirement fund to cash out, I would have been homeless because I did not work for a while. I often wonder how many of the homeless became addicts after becoming homeless in order to numb themselves.

You know you're getting old when you see 45 and think that's too young. Lol

That is the absolute youngest I will consider and even then it's unlikely. I prefer 5 years plus or minus.
Does ' pro-lifer' always identify a religious person?
Lucy_Fehr comments on Jan 22, 2018:
When I was much younger I was pro-life and atheist. Actually I was more conservative about a lot of things because I was a young mother and less educated.

What do think about commercial DNA testing services? For example 23 and me
Lucy_Fehr comments on Jan 18, 2019:
Some of you already know how I feel about it. With adoption and unknown siblings out there, it was great for me as I have found an abundance of close relatives. I tested with 23 and Ancestry. Both assign roughly the same amounts of origins to me I don't any of the dangerous variants they test for, so I'm unconcerned about the insurance issue and I'm older to boot. If my relatives commit a crime and get caught because my dna is on file, fuck 'em

Re watching BSG reimagined series. Took a break when Starbuck broke up with Anders.
Lucy_Fehr comments on Feb 23, 2019:
I resisted watching the remake due to loyalty to the original. When I finally checked it out, I had to go back and stream the first two seasons cuz it hooked me. I think final episodes are usually lame as hell but this one ended better than most

Okay then, someone has proposed a question. Here goes: Are you satisfied with your own sex?
Lucy_Fehr comments on Dec 18, 2018:
Yeah I am. Prior to puberty I thought boys had a better deal than I did so wanted to be one too. I am what I am. Of all the things I would like to change in my life or about myself, gender is not one of them.

Freud said that young girls suffer from penis envy.
Lucy_Fehr comments on Jan 18, 2019:
As a young girl I never even thought about the penii of the neighborhood; I was just resentful and jealous that they didn't have to have waist length hair, wear dresses all the damn time, have their behavior criticized, and clean the house instead of playing When we had to go somewhere fancy, the boys could climb trees and ride bikes but the girls had to sit around inside because we had dresses on. The only time I have ever been even slightly jealous of a penis is whenever I've needed to pee while outside
Happy Wednesday everyone.

It just means that our answers to a set of questions match. The fewer the questions, the higher the match since as I recall most of them were non religious based
Are you more open and honest online than in person?
Lucy_Fehr comments on Jan 22, 2018:
I was a computer user @2400 baud and ran my own small BBS so I knew early on how little privacy there is in a private conversation. I am sometimes too open in person whereas I'm a bit reticent online unless it is someone I know fairly well. On rare occasions, something will strike a nerve and I will overshare LOL

Shouldn't there be a "maybe" option for the question "are you open to meeting members for dating?
Lucy_Fehr comments on Jan 11, 2019:
Nope. I feel the same. I am open to dating should the opportunity present but offline friendships was my primary reason for joining. I do not know a single non believer in my age group. I know several 30 miles away that are my parents age and a couple of kids my son's age.
Purpose
Lucy_Fehr comments on Feb 5, 2018:
I don't know anymore. I feel like I have no sense of purpose currently. I have always had goals and still do but my current goals are vague and I feel a sense of dissatisfaction with my life. I applied to help with an anti-poverty group on Friday despite not being able to attend their orientation due to work. Hopefully we can work something out since the way this group runs is in my wheelhouse. The grandkids Im helping to raise are becoming older and need less attention, I had few friends but have had to give up on them due to racist bullshit and I realize that I am likely depressed and lonely so do not want to make any life changes until I come out of it. To circle back to original question, I need to stop spending all my time online or watching tv from my bedroom and do something fulfilling.

The following example happened over 30 years ago at my very first holiday (thanksgiving) dinner as the host. I was in my early 20s and had over my brother and his wife along with a couple my husband worked with. I was so proud cuz it all looked perfect. I make a killer baked beans dish and had prepped much the day before. I forgot to remove the plastic wrap before baking so there was no outward sign that it would be inedible. Either everyone was too polite or hadn't noticed but after feeling the bits of plastic in my mouth, I suddenly realized what I had done. To this day, I will not use plastic wrap on something that is to be baked later I've had other kitchen disasters but this is the one I tell often when someone else is upset about making a "stupid" mistake.

Sounds a lot like survivors guilt to me. I survived cancer but there were others there that didn't. My boyfriend's mother was diagnosed with colon cancer a year before mine. I had a very curable form caught early so I came through easily and she died not long after my treatment in part because her medicaid kept refusing to pay her treatment and she stopped going because her kids were putting the treatments on credit cards. I felt some guilt because I had insurance and received top notch care All you can do is make the best of this second chance you have in whatever way you can.

I will get the grandkids their favorite candy and they are fine with it because they understand that they get twice as much by waiting a day. My last 3 relationships which ranged over a 20+ year period were also in retail so even though we made token attempts, we were both of the same mindset I am one of those people that think if you have to be forced to show appreciation on a holiday, then your relationship has issues
Why did you get married?
Lucy_Fehr comments on Mar 4, 2018:
It was 1979, I was 17 with a baby and if the parents got married before a child was 6 months old, it could have the father's name. More than 6 months required adoption. I had 3 weeks to spare. Second time, I gave into family pressure and married who everyone thought was a nice guy that would take care of me blah blah blah.

There are a lot of a scammers and they are getting better at it. Perhaps your messages are mistaken for a scammer. Yes, often times men get nasty when they hear not interested. They refuse to accept that 2 hours is too far away. Or any other reason a woman gives. I once gave my primary email to someone and he figured out my real first name and was pissed that I used a different name on the site. Sent me many rants about how I was liar and bitch etc. Another time, a person connected to my employment saw me on there and thought it a good idea to bring it up in front of my co-workers. Sometimes I log on when I get a notification but most of the time, I just ignore the notification.

Lucy Fehr I was named for the Franke Valley song and for some reason hated my name. Wanted Michelle for some reason. When I was a teen, people called me sher which also irritated me because Cher was a big thing at the time. I'm completely happy with my name now. I was barely 17 when my daughter was born and named her Misty which I regret although at 37 she says she is still fine with it. I had my next one nearly 10 years later so he got an adult sounding name of Mitchell and goes by Mitch. I use Lucy Fehr at work. Or Lucyfer
