Not a lot to choose from but my great aunt had a house sort of out in the country and grew a lot of food. I remember picking grapes and eating them before "camping" in the tent she had made me with a sheet over the clothesline. All my happy childhood memories are in that house.

I can't narrow it down but the most recent was Glacier Bay in Alaska And an honorable mention for Mt Ranier seen on the flight over. A few months ago was the first time I had ever seen anything from the air as I had not flown since 1980. On that flight, I was nauseous, had an aisle seat and terrified. Took a cruise to Alaska to get me back on a plane.

One of my grandchildren but I can't narrow down which one would bother me the most thereby making the deaths of any of the others less. My daughter is diabetic and without insurance so I think of her death from time to time but the incident with the dentist forced to me seriously consider it. My son is an asshole so sometimes I worry that something will happen to him but no more than any other parent would with a child like him My first granddaughter was stillborn and as tragic as that was, I cannot bring myself to think much about the prospect of one of them dying now.

My daughter was on medicaid and a dentist convinced her to let him remove ALL of her teeth when she went in for extractions. Broke a needle in her mouth and sent her home with the tip still in there. Called her back a few days later, tried to remove it, pushed it into the nerve. She spent a week in the hospital. Maxo facial guy used a machine called the navigator to remove it. Lost half her jaw bone to the infection from the needle tip Reduced sense of taste and she had wanted to be a chef Yeah, they had to call in the guy that fixes cleft palates in 3rd world countries to save my daughter's life.

In general, nothing. Context does matter. When I had cancer, I joked about dying but some other cancer patients nor their families found it amusing. Neither did my family for that matter. I was an abused child yet I have made jokes about abusing my kids and grandkids. My brother was killed with a shotgun blast to the upper chest, yet I have made jokes about blowing someone's head off - although not since school shootings became a thing. If I suspect someone will be bothered by those types of jokes for whatever reason, I will abstain. but I suspect it is just my way of dealing with my shit since I rarely make jokes about stuff that hasn't touched my life on a personal level such as the holocaust; genocide; spree killers etc. edited immediately after posting to be more specific about one point

Teen parents having babies made my early childhood a mixed bag of both misery and unusual experiences. I saw and experienced life on the road with a band and met delightful weirdos but also knew I was an inconvenience. What little affection they had in them was for my younger brother who was sickly both physically and as it turned out later-mentally. I had periods of time with my maternal grandma who adored me whereas my paternal grandma hated my mother and therefor me as well. Again my younger brother got what little she had because he was blonde and blue eyed like that side. My mother's second husband made my and my brother's life a living hell for 7 years.
