@Charlene she lost her case, nobody knows what happened, she did not want to testify but sued civil? What does that tell you? How do you know what was said? You obviously weren't there and neither was I. Yes, no means no but nobody knows what happened in that room. So all we can do is speculate, like you are doing, so I will also speculate, I have 2 sisters who are lawyers and specialize in cases like this, both agree that if the "victim" went to the police, she went public also, prosecutor brings case to court, and she does not want to testify, why? People already knew who she was, she acknowledged no threats were sent to her or her family by anybody, what was she afraid of? The prosecution dismissed the charges. But then she goes to civil court. My speculation, this woman wanted money and she got it. In this country, always knocking on wood, one is innocent until proven guilty. Fact: the case was dismissed, ergo he is innocent. You may not like it, but this is a fact. Sorry.

I lived 12 years in PR, and I'm afraid most of their problems were self inflicted. When the economy was buoyant due to Tax Section 936 which gave tax breaks to manufacturesrs in Puerto Rico until its end in the late 90s, they should had joined the Union. Unfortunately puertoricans were always divided, not as reps and dems but the two major political parties were pro statehood and pro independence. Usually the proindependence always won, very tightly but they always won. When that tax section was abolished, the economy tanked. The decline of PR's economy is also spurred by the old Jones Act of 1920 where shipments from other countries cannot use non American shipping lines, making everything more expensive in PR as goods, food, etc. has to go first to the US and then reshipped in an American owned vessel. Had they asked to become part of the union when they were rich, congress would have okd it cuz they luv money. Now that they are not so much, even if they ask, likely that congress will not approve. The Island is green and gorgeous, but they lack agriculture to sustain almost 3 million people, most food must be imported. Tourism is their main industry now but with the infrastructure decimated by the hurricanes and earthquakes, even that is suffering.

I think there's a difference between the Jewish culture that many people are familiar with through popular stereotypes, and then Orthodox Judaism and the Torah. Orthodox Judaism and the Torah are about as misogynistic as you can get.

Finally, I fail to see how to say something that is 100% true is dishonest. I'm not saying they are the most nor that they are the second most or any type of ranking, just that they are also mysoginistic. So explain to me why to tell the truth, supported with an article that I linked, is "intellectually dishonest."?

That is complete nonsense about Judaism. Very religious Jewish women are only looked at as baby makers, they have many laws, women are not allowed to show their hair, thus wear wigs, the man is the boss, education is not allowed either.
