If one wishes be a Conservative, please conserve the environment. There is no PLAN...ET B. If Conservatism should succeed we would still be a flat earth, with colonies engaging in the enslavement of our fellow hominids. We would still be avidly extirpating species, workers cents on the $ & requiring women to don chastity belts when the men were off warring again. As we progress as a species, we are trying different governance in a shrinking world & trying to share the wealth & prosperity. Capitalism has brought great advances, but must be balanced by Socialism to lessen the suffering of those that can not compete. It is Liberalism that permits advancement. It is Liberalism that encourages tolerance of diversity & Conservatism that embraces the ideas of the past, embraces superiority, embraces greed & rejection of those that do not mirror their physical appearance. Hence the Congress reflects the division literally. Color, gender, diversity on the Democratic side. The Republican side are the elderly euro bigots, merely hiding their reluctance to except the evolution of our beloved nation, with Liberty & Justice all.
