This is happening gradually. A smaller number of people are impoverished now than say twenty years ago. Religion was just never mentioned. They are both grown now and married with young families. They know my feelings about religion and are definitely more tolerant than I am possibly because they had no religious exposure when young whereas I was forced to attend sunday school and church.
