.I have plugged his book on here before "The ends of the World" by Peter Brannen. he writes in detail about previous mass extinctions and the reason for them and discusses the likelihood of another. He makes what could be a dry subject fascinating.
As far as I remember we are a long way from another mass extinction but it is possible in the future.

I couldn't care less about the silly RC rule although RC's did take it seriously at one time. I was tucking in to my steak and chips in the works canteen one Friday many years ago ( it must have been pay day) when a colleague and good friend sat down beside me with his fish and chips and said to me "how dare you eat meat at my table on a Friday" It annoyed me at the time but I had to smile later.

I actively started researching the Abrahamic religions a few years ago when I had a church going girlfriend who tried to interest me in her "faith". The more I know about those religions the more I dislike them

I am of a generation where only outlaw bikers and sailors sported tattoos but these days it seems like everyone of a certain age is tattooed. I remember saying to my son "OK get tattoos but not where they are visible when wearing a suit" His reply was "I will never have a job where i need to wear a suit". he is now a tattooed "hipster" running his own coffee bar and married to a gorgeous girl who is covered in tattoos so what the hell do I know ?
