Totally agree. There is a sculpture trail near where I live with work by the late Frank Bruce, Many of the sculptures are carved from tree trunks and sadly are beginning to decay. One I really like is entitled "the patriot" and it depicts one man attacking another and is labelled " For every winner there is a loser" Says it all really.

Could it be because being raised a Roman catholic he has this inherent guilt feeling installed almost from birth. He said he had already confessed this to a priest. He did appear at a later date with "splinter" but he was never the virtuoso blues guitar player again who at his peak could have matched Eric Clapton at his best.

The film was set in Scotland which was of interest but it was low key and just OK. I recently read the book which was like a different story and really good.. I read "into the wild " by Cheryl Strayed and it was a great story. The film was ok but a bit disappointing.

Actually very little of the nitrogen that plants uptake is produced by lightning. It is mostly produced by nitrogen fixing bacteria. There is a lot of truth in what he says. Plants do grow more vigorously if there is increased CO2 levels and if it wasn't for the inconvenient fact that there are 7 billion of us stopping the natural growth of vegetation the Co2 levels would gradually level out.

I am sure you are right but one of the mainstream churches in Aberdeen has opened one of those happy clappy churches to try to attract youngsters and it has been so successful that they intend to open a further 21(twenty one) throughout Scotland.

@Trajan61 Don't quite understand your point but did you read the article ? For the benefit of the environment and our health we need to be producing and eating less beef. I agree that organic grass fed beef is much better than beef raised on feedlots where the cows never see a blade of grass and are pumped full of antbiotics.
