New haircut - I'm such a god damned hipster.

Not fat. Still has hair.

Edit: now a little bit fat, but working on it using a combination of yoga and indoor rock climbing. The hair is still hanging in there, but has migrated cover pretty much the entire rest of my body.

Edit 2: No more rock climbing - blew out the tendons in my elbows. Sigh. Aging carcass. Muay Thai instead.
I guess I should put some serious stuff in here.
Grew up in Australia, emigrated England 15 years ago. Accent is still fully intact, as is my abhorrence of class prejudice, love of barbecue and low opinion of soccer as a sport for grown men.

See, I oscillate. Part of me is a lazy fucker, who would just curl up on a couch with a book and a large drink. The other bit bounces around like a flea in a dog circus. Or dog in a flea circus. Both work. This comes through in my musical tastes. It's mostly fast, mostly awful. A lot is very fast, very awful. Punk, ska, thrash/death/math metal, hardcore techno, gabber house, jungle, psychobilly... all 160 - 240 BPM. Love a good mosh. Can still keep up with the kiddies. Exercise wise, I've just moved house and changed jobs, so I've got to sort something out local - I can feel myself flubberizing. I don't think I'd put Dimebag even in my personal top ten. Sure, he was a good guitarist, but Pantera where always a bit middle of the road for my taste, and their songwriting was kinda clichéd. I'd go for: Bill Steer - Carcass. Chuck Schuldiner - Death These two pretty much pioneered technical/melodic death metal in the 90's. Mike Scaccia - Rigor Mortis, Ministry No one picks like Mike! Tony Iomi - Black Sabbath He lost two fingertips in an industrial accident and went on to create heavy metal. Kirk Hammett - Metallica Yeah, they've gone off the rails now, but Master of Puppets is magnificent. Ben Weinman - The Dillinger Escape Plan Tore up the extreme metal handbook consistently from 1997-2017 I'd go on, by my phone's about to run out battery!

Intellectually? Probably the last of the final year practical questions in petrology, where they give you a bunch of hand samples, thin section microscope slides and a geological cross section and ask you to identify the rock types, minerals and their percentages and a summary of the geological history behind them. MrBeelzeebubbles comments on Sep 4, 2018:
Don't know about wisdom, but moving out of the bogan (Australian white trash) town I grew up in to go to uni in Sydney certainly expanded my perspective. I found Geology fascinating, humbling and spiritual (for want of a better word), I joined a death metal band and screamed at happy punters for money, I discovered people who enjoyed rather than tolerated my company, become a dedicated pharmavore without completely trashing my life and I found that a small subset of ladies actually find scrawny hyperactive freaks sexually attractive.

MrBeelzeebubbles comments on Sep 4, 2018:
Helps if you think of gender as a spectrum, rather than a hard and fast polarity. Most people are happy with the gender they're born into, and that's all fine and dandy. Others identify with the opposite gender, and will quite often use the adjective 'trans', which is all cool too. Some people don't feel they want to be in either the male or female camp, and may use the term 'fluid' or 'inter'. But, let's face it, what gender someone wants to identify as is no-one's fucking business but theirs, so as long as we all avoid acting like arseholes, everyone's happy.

It was made from 100% oil derived materials some time in the 70's for JC Penny, and hence is better traveled than I am and almost as old. It has flares. It has lapels. It has a matching rabbit fur felt fedora. I have worn it to see Mr. Bungle, the Voodoo Glow Skulls, Machine Gun Fellatio, Slayer and Squarepusher. Numerous parties, raves and bush doofs. I've worn it to Sydney's most expensive night club, and to a vegan grindcore warehouse gig. Everyone loves the suit. And so do I.
