Have had some flings with lasses who weren't the sharpest knives in the draw. But that was more about mutual lust. I've had four long term relationships in my life, and each of those ladies had... wit. Not just smart, but quick on their feet conversationally. It's a pretty well established link. Sensation seekers tend towards liberalism, security seekers tend towards conservatism. These aren't fixed attributes, however. There's been studies that show that if you scare people, they become more conservative, and conversely if you make people feel safe and secure they tend to be more liberal.

Did popularity ever matter to you throughout High School Years?
MrBeelzeebubbles comments on Oct 30, 2018:
Popularity always matters when unpopularity can mean getting your head kicked in. I was too loud to fly under the radar. Looked about 2 years younger than I was, and skinny as a rake. Nerd in junior high, started smoking in the boys room and listening to heavy metal in senior. Got bullied pretty regularly until I gave one of the bullies a black eye. Couldn't wait to leave.
Helpful tips you learned as an adult?
MrBeelzeebubbles comments on Oct 29, 2018:
With any Windows product, always wait for service pack two. Microsoft beta test by selling stuff and waiting for the error reports. If you get wasted, your going to crash. Accept this as inevitable part of the experience. The alternative is junkydom. Hallucinogenics will give you amazing insights into the human condition that you will forget within thirty seconds. Learn to love the ephemeral beauty of buddha-goldfish syndrome. Pay your rent and bills first. Women cop lots of vile shit when you're not around. As a reasonable guy, you won't see a lot of it, because the arseholes tend to back off in your presence.

My year 11 kids (16 year olds) did a term of Marriage & Relationships, and we had wide ranging discussions on how marriage had evolved over time, various marriage traditions, gay marriage, what constitutes a good relationship etc. At the end of the year, they gave me a lovely present consisting of... I really love the new Morrissey album, and can't wait to see him perform it live. Oh, and Prince was an underrated musical genius. The current Conservative government are the only sensible choice, and have a fundamental grasp of economics that will benefit us all, especially the less well-off. The science of geology is a sham used to steer the impressionable away from the truth of God's creation, and it's pioneering role in investigating climate change is yet more proof of it steering us away from the righteous path of mass consumption. America's gun laws are sane and proportional.
