@Cast1es I don't think you quite understand the difference between alternative homeopathy and medicine. Medicine has undergone stringent scientific experimentation to determine its affectiveness. That research, has been replicated again and again and scrutinated by peers before accepted. And it doesn't end there. If a new alternative is found and tested with even stronger affects, it will supercede the previous medicine used.
Homeopathy has not undergone this rigorous research. Homeopathic methods are not published in reputable science magazines because there is no empirical evidence. It is believed in by the faithful.....just like religion.

A close friend didn’t want to do it at birth but her son had repeated medical issues, so they ended up doing it later when it was far more painful and difficult for him.
She still thinks she made the right initial decision, but yes, sometimes circumcising can be the best route medically.

There are increasingly more stay-at-home dads. Most dads of today are much more involved and interested in their kids lives. They no longer have to struggle under the weight of being soul 'defence of the tribe' (women join the army too you know). Men no longer have to be the soul decision maker or bread winner. I agree that they shouldn't feel insecure, they should feel liberatated.

I am intolerant of religion because of it's blinkered and biased treatment of women and other minority groups and of course the hypocracy of each religion's monopoly on truth. We should not stand by and allow the Catholic church to uphold confidentiality of the confessional at the expense of vulnerable children. I believe we need the removal of all chaplains and religious education in public schools. There should be no prayers said at the start of parliament (we have that here in Australia). The church should NOT have such influence over government. Churches, like all businesses should pay tax. And frankly I think many of these cults that deliberately set out to exploit people of their money should be banned.

We had to make snap decisions to determine if someone was friend or foe and we did so by seeing if they looked like us. HOWEVER we no longer have to think that way. We had to make snap decisions to determine if someone was friend or foe and we did so by seeing if they looked like us. HOWEVER we no longer have to think that way. I guess it comes down to what your values are and the sort of person you want to be. You might have automatic thoughts but you can choose to question those biases and decide if they are valid.
You are very biased toward this poor girl. What is it that you are experiencing on a daily basis? Are you being bullied? Is it that you have a female boss and it undermines your masculinity? YOu are the one coming from a position of power so it is not her that is racist or sexist. It is you. But you need empathy to see her position and you have to want to reflect on it. Can you do that? Do you even want to bother?

I'm not going to employ an electrician to fix my toaster, because a new one is cheaper than the cost of hiring. HOwever I may take a look at it myself and see if it is repairable instead of it contributing to pollution to our planet.

The president of the USA IS relevent and important to my country because we are supposed to be an ally. No the Clinton's weren't rich when running for office but have certainly made up for that. But to run for office, you have to have your own money eg Trump OR you have to ask others to give you money. HOw much influence to those that pay have over a future Pres?. it's not just about the money. There is enormous amount of self-satisfaction or pride in being able to fix things yourself. I can't think being rich and having everyone pander to your every desire can be good for your mental health.
