Religion in schools

I'm a child of the 60's/early 70's. 9th grade Language Arts. We studied the Old Testament and Greek/Roman mythology as part of the same unit. Lots of comparing and contrasting. It was fantastic. Convinced me even more how ridiculous religion truly was.

An update. Another thread was started on the same page by the most vocal man from above. It was a picture of a cemetary that had been vandalized by "BLM". Assumed because that is what was spray painted. No proof. People went off on him because they thought it had happened in town. Then backup for this wonderful young woman. Then one of our few minority parents stating she has been called the n word several times while out shopping. So for all those residents talking about how it isn't necessary in "their" town, it apparently is.

I just did my patriotic duty and told the president he was doing great.

Don't forget about all those grandkids as well. And let's make sure that Mrs. Pence has to also teach 7 hours a day to hundreds of different kids every day. Betsy DeVos should also be required to be in school all day, everyday, with hundreds of kids "socially distancing". This is so scary for teachers right now. Chance that we maybe having to teach all day to those that come to school and then have to continue with those at home after that. Maybe no Integrated Arts (music, art, gym, health, technology) and Intervention teachers because they will nneed to be used in other classes so we can spread kids out more. And yet we have some school board members who want to send us back as always. No precautions except more handwashing and disinfecting. Sorry, needed to vent.
