I Call Bullshit
NHjulie comments on Apr 6, 2019:
But the fact is, he isn't even good at it. He can't even keep the lies straight. He changes them day day. No wait, hour hour. No wait, minute minute. It would be second second but his mouth can't move that fast without slurring or saying the wrong words. Who am I kidding. He does that even when he talks slowly.
Anyone wanna but a T-Shirt?
NHjulie comments on Apr 5, 2019:

NHjulie comments on Apr 5, 2019:
Love Stephen Colbert! Amazing that he just has to play the idiot speaking and he doesn't even need to add a punchline. The audience is already laughing hysterically at the idiocy.

I remember being "punished " one time as a child of 7 or 8. Sent to my room. Read and drew for hours. One of the best nights I can think of.
Justice will prevail in NY.
NHjulie comments on Mar 30, 2019:
I wish I could believe this is true. Lost most of my confidence in real justice.

NHjulie comments on Mar 28, 2019:
She's smart, funny, and beautiful. The Republicans haven't a clue what to do with her. She will be "reclaiming her time" often and with style.

Perfect comparison.
My all time most puzzling aspect of Christianity.
NHjulie comments on Mar 26, 2019:
I agree completely. As a child brought up as a Catholic , we learned that unless you were baptized in the Catholic faith you would go to purgatory to atone for your sins. At my mom's funeral, the priest started talking about my mom being in Heaven and all I could think of was that my mom would be in hell if she couldn't see her mom (a Lutheran). At the point the absurdity of religion smacked me in the face and quadrupled my distaste for everything religious.
Hello My Darling Friends.

NHjulie comments on Mar 24, 2019:
I just went to an in-service for all the staff in our school about bullying. It was held by Malcolm Smith, an expert in the field who has investigated over 50 school shootings and found being bullied the one common factor. He said that when you bully there is a reaction in the brain that feels good, gives you pleasure. The more you do it, the better it feels and over time it actually changes your brain and leads to mental illness. I couldn't help but think of tRump the whole time. He is mentally I'll, no doubt in my mind.
Had share.
NHjulie comments on Mar 24, 2019:

How to raise children with a religious spouse?
NHjulie comments on Mar 23, 2019:
I also married a Catholic but he knew I was an atheist. I never objected to him having them baptized or taking them to church. I also let them go to different churches with friends. I explained my feelings when I thought it was appropriate. Proud to say they've grown into fellow atheists.
trumanzee!

Who else recalls when this was what grocery shopping at the Supermarket was like?
NHjulie comments on Mar 23, 2019:
Does anyone else remember when your order was placed in crates then on a conveyor type system from the inside yo the outside. You went and got your car, drove it the front of the store and then some8put the bags in the car for you. I remember that at Purity Supreme in Massachusetts. It was awesome.
One's a fake..
NHjulie comments on Mar 22, 2019:

For me... assassination of JFK.
NHjulie comments on Mar 11, 2019:
It's odd but I remember Kennedy's inauguration, watching it in our basement as the babysitter ironed. My parents attended so I assume that's why it was so significant for a 3 year old to remember but I have no memory at all of the assassination 3 years later. No idea why. I was in school by then but there is not even a shadow of a memory. Maybe because it was so devastating. My little sister remembers.
Do you have an issue with people taking a knee?
NHjulie comments on Feb 17, 2019:
When I first saw Colin take a knee a thought it was brilliant. What a perfect way to peacefully protest the deplorable way people of color have been treated in this country. And then the backlash. Apparently, they were supposed to ask "permission "from the powers that be what would be acceptable to them. Granted I am not in the military (but have had family members who were), but I never remember hearing that the anthem was only for the military. It is not disrespectful if that isn't the intention. I can assure you, none of those people screaming about this are standing at home when they hear the anthem. It is just another badly disguised form of racism.
