@MrLizard People are diagnosed at school now.. In my day it wasn't known much so I was hit with sticks instead for being naughty. If you are not diagnosed at school and older in uk no funding remit. Unless you go prison then they help lol. It's all very complex but just read up about it .. best thing .. best to understand it in your own terms as it is very complex in the sense of the various things that can lead to it happening for people.

I self diagnosed epilepsy and forced the Medical service here in Uk to scan my brain .. I was right and have lesions in a specific area causing very definite effects equatable with other people only with epilepsy of a rare kind... I have mapped my neurology.. Go find out about it .. you may find other people having same experience and then depending on what other idiosyncrasies and little traits you have you may find out more about yourself.. Or don't lol .. up to you ..

If you maybe read between the lines you may have worked out that I was referring to the fact that we as humans actively have a really destructive effect on our environment, which no other species comes near to matching... We are essentially parasitic in planetary terms. Soooo if you are going to take every statement in life literally then I guess you will be talking about anthropology forever .. suppose I am referring to the fact (say for one example) that astute people may use water filters that now filter out the very low background traces of MDMA and cocaine .. Even hormones pollution from plastics ... I could also refer to the fact that every lifeform in the ocean recently tested without fail was positive for micro plastics which cause cancers in us and them.. Talking about the plastic island in the pacific which is now twice the size of France. It's endless and we all know it.. It wasn't created by goldfish was it ?

Hell no. I'm almost entirely self educated and got within the 98th percentile in the nation (10 years ago, but I haven't stopped learning everything I can). Trump graduated college and the guy is as intelligent as a lead paint chip.

Yeh they are different .. I think fundamentally is the thing. The evidence may all be wiped out by studies into neuroplasticity and the relationship of the brain to environmental factors yet lol.. It's so complex isn't it .. I will look that up thanks as never heard of it !! It's always good to get as many points of view and flavours as possible !! :) My fave part of neuroscience is Dr Ramachandra Chakrabati doing his talks on his cures for phantom limb syndrome pain in amputee's.... He worked out that the pain those people feel in the limb that had vanished (which is sometimes unbearable and like the day they lost it) could be erased by putting a mirror there.. so their mind saw a leg although it was the other leg.. All the brain needed was the cortex to be fed that way by the right visual info to null out the pain response ... Absoloutely incredible scientist!!! Thanks again !! Check out the phantom limbs it's nuts :)

It's always good to get as many points of view and flavours as possible !! :) My fave part of neuroscience is Dr Ramachandra Chakrabati doing his talks on his cures for phantom limb syndrome pain in amputee's.... He worked out that the pain those people feel in the limb that had vanished (which is sometimes unbearable and like the day they lost it) could be erased by putting a mirror there.. so their mind saw a leg although it was the other leg.. All the brain needed was the cortex to be fed that way by the right visual info to null out the pain response ... Absoloutely incredible scientist!!! Thanks again !! Yes they both three octave singers ... !!!! Incredible vocal range. I think as she is Canadian just not so well promoted or known but to be honest maybe good for her. She does it live with a jazz outfit and it really is probably as good if not better than the recorded version in a way. Amazing talent. Her other tunes don't really get me like this one. Only chance is to change law! at federal level I guess in your country ultimately .. who knows how long that might take. Uk is same.. It hasn't got same issues but it's law is deeply flawed and built on statues from 1215. I think it is the only way. In our country if you rose up violently you wold definitely get killed in riots. It's happened before. Even bystanders have been fatalities.. weirdly. It is a painfully slow process that will take hundreds of years yet to even level up gender equality - never mind race globally .. I do think you are right that those on the social justice side must be mindful not to become softened though & remember the people they / we face are often pathologically abusive characters.

There is medical research done on the brains of liberals and conservatives which shows a larger area of the amygdala in conservatives. This area is noted for emotional responses based upon fear. It is also referred to as the Adolescent brain. it explains a lot.

Also within neurological structures you will get lesions in some brains making some people have less distinct emotional memory of their own experience so are less ego driven. Then you also have others who may have lesions in area's that can range from anything from mild to complete lack of empathy. There are a multitude of "black & white (noise?) thought" processors out there too .. It really is deep when you get into the brain mechanics.. I hadn't heard about this bit of research.. thanks!
