I'm going to say that I've been single for 11 years since my divorce, technically I was in a couple of long term (more than three months) relationships during that time but I'm still searching. Learn to enjoy the company of the one you are dating and concentrate less on opening up all of your secrets. If you focus on enjoying the meal and taking with someone you're attracted to I'll bet the date will go much better. Save the secrets for date 5. ?

They even crushed some kind of green candy to look like odor crystals. The whole thing was served in a cat litter box. It was delicious!

I think if the two in question have put in the proper amount of talking and getting to know each other then yes by all means sex could be wonderful on the first date. Personally there are still questions in my mind at that point. Is there really chemistry? That can be answered in the first five minutes of the date. There are other compatibility and living together things which might cause issues, like squeezing the toothpaste from the middle, but if there are great conflict resolution skills then none of that really matters. In my personal life I am friends with many people that I've had sex with on that first meeting. I have also fallen in love with someone without having had sex. Either way the journey is beautiful.

I only really want to go back to the 'old days' once in a great while.

Because I live by some very strict consent rules I always ask about other partners and whether they are aware of the intended activity. I'm fine with open relationships and being with married people but only as long as the partner knows and is ok with it. The answer to your question is in everyone's profile. We all had to answer that question, or skip it, when we signed up for this site. For me, I travel an hour just to get to work in the morning. It's about a 30 mile drive, 40 minutes in no traffic. I have friends that live all over the city. It takes me anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes just to go get dinner with friends or show up for a game night. I have a group of friends that live in Knoxville and I drive the four hours to see them over a weekend about once a month. If I'm willing to go four hours for friends how can I not go further to find true love? I have traveled to Houston Texas to meet someone. That was a gruelling drive but I'm flying back out in a couple weeks to see them again. I have been on dates in Greenville, SC, Cincinnati, OH, New Orleans, LA, and many other cities in neighboring states. If and when I find my love I will figure out how to make the relationship work. Asking the universe to provide my soulmate to me on my doorstep is an exercise in futility. Being flexible enough to search for that person wherever possible seems likea much better proposition to me and more likely to get results.
