I live alone. I have a large house and sometimes have roommates but currently I am living alone. It is very nice to have "my own" space, but I do like the companionship that a roommate or partner gives by being there to talk about things and break up the monotony.

Yes, never give up. I had a conversation with a guy who was in search of a romantic love but the more we talked the more I realized that he was just not willing to put in the effort to get what he was looking for. I believe that you can build an emotional connection with someone just from text and voice communications. However, chemistry, as I understand it requires an actual meet. I need to touch, taste, and smell a person before I can truly know whether I feel "chemistry" with that person. It only takes one meeting to know, but I need that one meeting.

Nope. No regrets. Rejection isn't about me, it is about where the other person is in their life. Being told "no" isn't the end of the world for me. I didn't see any applicable answers. Cheating is anything which was not agreed upon by all parties in the relationship. Teasing/flirting is not ever cheating in my book, unless the teasing involves genitals, in which case it has wandered past teasing and into sex. Having a meal with someone else is not cheating either, that's just crazy "men who can't keep their penis in their pants and feel the need to shame women for their inability to not fuck everything" rules. Same thing for Drinks, that isn't cheating, that is getting drinks with a friend. Outings also do not count as cheating. hugging shouldn't be considered cheating either. Kissing is border line, I would venture that a kiss on the cheek to say thanks is not cheating, kissing passionately could lead to cheating and might be considered a "shot across the bow" by some. I guess in my book only Sex should ever be considered cheating, and then only when it wasn't agreed upon by everyone in the relationship. If someone is in an open relationship which requires disclosing all activities, and an activity is not disclosed, then that activity is cheating.

I can think of some very specific reasons why I might not want to be "recognized" by people on a website. The first isn't a good reason but if I have a spouse that I don't want to know I am looking, then I don't want to put a picture because they may be on the site as well and I don't want them to know I am looking. Maybe I don't want colleagues finding my profile and then airing my personal lifestyle choices into BDSM at work with other colleagues or my boss. There are many reasons that I don't use my real name online. That only prevents people who have no business digging into my personal life from finding me. If they happen to be on this site looking for community or dating, see my profile pic, and then read my comments, who knows what could happen. Realistically I prefer within 5 years. Intellectually an older woman will be better based on the average life span. In reality I don't think age matters but where they are in their emotional development and what they are seeking out of life are the most important factors. My rule of thumb is "Half, plus seven." and it has worked for years.
