Uncle Jim has 2 grandkids but us disappointed that he doesn't have more. When he goes to Wal-Mart and sees some Guatemalan lady with 4 kids, he's jealous. His kids have told him one of the reasons they decided to remain childfree is because its not financially feasible for them. Why is it, he wonders, that this poor woman can afford kids but his kids can't? The lady must be on welfare! Is uncle Jims assessment of the situation simplistic? Does it ignore a hundred other factors? Yes but he's looking at the limited data he has and drawing conclusions. Uncle Jim is a composite character of many folks I know. It's a common story. These people are sad and angry that their kids have to move so far away for decent jobs, that they have few if any grandkids, that sending their kids to college like they were told ultimimately meant that they "lost" their families.(this has a lot to do with these folks ire against higher learning and academia) Immigrants make a convenient target for them to blame that doesn't tax their brains with too many variables.

When it comes to women and what they want in a romantic partner, never listen to what they say. Watch what they do. Their actions will speak far louder rhan their words.

@Qualia I don't have any stories that intense but yes, not listening to what your partner says is the quickest way to kill a good relationship or find yourself in one thats very wrong for you.

So for any category you'd expect that in a stable population the death rate and the birth rate would be about the same. Not exactly the same in all place and all times but about the same. So in about half the states the death rate would be a little higher and about half the states the birth rate ...

@weelittleone the bra was for him. Seems he'd grown breasts as a side effect of some medical condition he has and found them very troublesome.

OpposingOpposum replies on Jul 5, 2018:
These people see people "like them" dying off and their children having less children. Then they see some POC in the grocery store with 4 or 5 kids. Since their worldview is really limited in scope, they reason that "immigrants" are taking all the resources. They don't realise the very people they vote into office are the ones making life harder for them. They simply see what's in front of them and believe what their leaders(who have their hands deep in these folks pockets) tell them.

"Sit down and be polite" is just people with no ethics attempting to use ethics against those who possess them. I will be rude. I will speak the truth. I will call a monster a fucking monster. I am disgusted by certain groups in this country and I will not be quiet or civil or peaceful while those groups dismantle everything I actually like about this country.
