No. His point is that people arguing that life begins at conception are incorrect because they don't understand even the basic mechanisms of pregnancy. When your entire argument is based on a demonstrable fallacy, your argument is invalid. He is pointing that having people who are profoundly ignorant of the facts of conception and pregnancy make decisions about anything pregnancy related is profoundly stupid.

In the common experience, abuse is introduced slowly and only let free reign once the abuser has the victim in a position where they're powerless to leave. For instance, once the abuser has separated the victim from their support system or when a child is born into the relationship.
