Absolutely, if something is crude or of a sexual nature directed at and individual. If directed at the gender as a whole it's just misogynistic. I've seen some pretty archaic and sexist comments on posts in my short time on this site. In general I chalk it up to there always being a few nuts ...

@irascible well an instance that comes to mind is when he made a post asking if prostitution should be legal. I replied that I think it should. And he asked me something like "how much" implying that if I think prostitution should be legal, I must be a prostitute myself. I don't think sex workers should be shamed. It's their body and their life to spend as they choose. I certainly don't like the implication that I'M for sale though.

Yes as I said they were half siblings and much older. My mother was an entirely different kind of person and did what she had to to keep me safe. She was a great Mom.
