I grew up a PK (preacher's kid), but rebelled against at an early age. Moved around a lot as a kid. I was in the US Army for almost 14 years & spent about 9 years in Germany. I have been married twice... first ex had been in a cult and second ex was a lapsed Mormon... tend to believe she was also in a cult.
While in the Army, I worked with nuclear weapons & later became an intelligence analyst, so I became more of a skeptic. After I got out, I saw how much the "religious right" was involved with politics and changed my views.
I'm not a morose person in any sense, just have had these experiences shape who I am.
I'm a 63 year old Dad to 2 beautiful daughters, 18 & 16, who live with their mom. My youngest is autistic, so that is extremely important to me.
