Twenty years ago I was buying a new washer, dryer and refrig. I got the cash from the bank and went to Sears. As he was counting out the hundred dollar bills he came across one that looked bad. It was cut off to one side. He checked it with the yellow pen and the machine but he said he couldn't determine if it was fake. He trusted me not to have known about it. But it could have gone much differently if I were black. I took it back to the bank where the idiot manager said there was nothing wrong with it. I insisted he take it back if that was the case.
