They will not let them drive on the clambeds. Only the upper part of the beach where there is no sealife. People have not been run over yet,,,,,,,its happened frequently. I few years back a fellow drove into a group of seabirds intentionally. He spent some time in jail. I've seen really crappy behavior from tourists.
