I have quite an extensive description about myself, well more like a brief autobiography for that matter. I figured if I'm going to put myself out there, I might as well be as descriptive as I can. So if you're going to read my "about me" section, you may want to grab yourself a cup of coffee and get comfortable. I'm easily verifiable and can be found on Facebook, Linkedin and apparently a quick Google search from what I've been told.
I grew up in Los Angeles until I was 16, from there I attended boarding school in Utah until I was 18. I moved to colorado with my parents and shortly after I enlisted into the Navy. I did 8 years serving my country, been to a few interesting places, the most interesting place being the north pole (3 times) and memorable being Bergen Norway. I am now out of the Navy and am moving on to bigger and better things.
I'm at that age now where I want to settle down and have a family, in 10 years I would like to see myself in a 4 bedroom house, kids running around getting ready for soccer practice, and a loving wife that I just finished making dinner for. I've never cheated and am naturally monogamous. I've been going to college full time in hopes of maybe getting into medical school, so I do have goals and aspirations in life. I am currently getting all my income from the VA through college benefits and VA disability, which is surprisingly enough to live a very comfortable life.
I'm a driven person but am a social bug as well, one must remember that "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." I personally enjoy the company of others and I hate being single for that reason. I enjoy my time with friends and would love to have someone to share my time with. I admit that I'm a professor of useless facts and would describe myself as a social nerd that doesn't play video games. Be advised, I'm notorious for making cheesy puns, so get ready for corny jokes and one liners at random. I am drawn to people who have a healthy sense of humor as although life can be serious, you do only live once so enjoy it.
I don't watch tv. since it tends to bore me, but I'm not totally against it; commercials just drive me nuts. I do like the shows Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Top Gear to name a few. I usually just watch something nerdy and educational if I do watch anything. As for movies: I seldom watch them but I will on occasion if the movie's right and it's better if I have someone to enjoy it with. Ok I admit it, I have seen every Star Trek and Star Wars movie ever made more than once, there I said it lol.
I'm a skeptic and atheist so I'm not religious at all and don't believe in a "higher power", anything supernatural, unfounded, or pseudoscientific. I believe in humanity and the ability to better ourselves by looking past illogical nonsense and to work as a whole. Always remember: science doesn't care what you believe.
I'm very liberal and opinionated and am politically inclined; so I am vehemently anti-Trump, anti-Republican, and anti-conservative, so if you're a supporter of any of those, I'm not interested. I don't take kindly to racists, bigots, charlatans, nor xenophobes so please note that's a hot button topic for me and know I'm a very active member in the fight against the political turmoil that has descended upon our country. I'm also an LGBTQ ally and my best friend is a gay man so if you don't support equality, than we won't get along... just a heads up. #Resist

I'm an avid writer as you've probably figured out by now and am published in several areas. I mainly write about science and philosophy but do on occasion write an opinion or political piece from time to time. I have an organization that I founded that has roughly 100,000+ subscribers, 26,500+ members, and roughly 72 staff member from around the world. If you're interested I can tell you more about it but I don't want to sound like an advertisement.
I would like to make something clear: I'm not a "red neck" and would like to think of myself as being more sophisticated than that. So although I have an extensive amount of outdoor interests, I would more consider myself as an outdoors enthusiast. I fish, hunt, hike, backpack and love camping, especially in the mountains and deserts. Mountain sports and activities are some of my favorite ways to spend my time. As you can imagine, I'm on the move a lot, and I would want someone who can enjoy that with me.
I have a wonderful son who means the world to me and plays a big role in my life. I love being a parent and the joy it gives me.
Hopefully I haven't put you off or to sleep with my droning on...
