Bio

As a white, female child with an inquisitive mind and an open heart, I often felt out of place being born and raised in a small, rural Southern, Christian community where the majority of inhabitants were related. I attended UNC-CH and was the first in my family to graduate from college. Big cities and distant shores call to me so I have traveled extensively in the US and in Europe, with the intension of visiting the continents of South America, Asia and Africa within the next decade. Lifelong learning is important to me, as is living a simple, sustainable life. I strive to be genuine, generous and non-judgemental. A few key words to describe me and how I live are: inclusive, eclectic, kind, discerning. Great sorrow and great joy has shaped me. I am grateful for my journey thus far, for my fellow travelers who have enriched my life, and for the path that continues to lead me into explorations and discoveries.
