I grew up in a small town. Mom would take me and my three brothers to church on most Sundays but I always found it boring. It wasn’t until a week-long church camp I attended when I was 13 that I became a devout evangelical Christian. I found a “place to belong” in my town’s F.C.A. (Fellowship of Christian Athletes - no one there was really an athlete there. In my town it was a place for misfits). I went to a small conservative Christian college and majored in Youth Ministry. I married my high school sweetheart, whom I met at church camp, when we were both 21. Fifteen years later my wife and I are still in love, we have a couple awesome kids, and we’re both atheists
