I see America getting stupider and more religious. I get depressed trying to find words or ways to express my anger and frustration...I'm even blocked from Facebook for a few days for a contentious post I made. Sorry, David...as a demographer, I don't see a good future for Homo sapiens.

I concur; either level or starkly tilted..but a little tilted doesn't work. Also try earlier in the day...that hint of blue in the sky would have been excellent if it were stronger. A sequence of the same scene over ___ minute intervals is the way to go.

But the point is - the faster they grow and reproduce, the faster they mutate...most mutations are harmful/deadly/fatal ...but...some are helpful to their survival....rare ones will make them impervious to vaccines...that will happen..it's not a matter of if...it's when.

But it's also a warning to our educational system.

We don't welcome innovation - due to the local taxpayer controlled funding.
Local taxes fund most US educational systems...and no one wants higher property taxes...so what suffers the most is the US educational system.

The logic is simple; more and more ars struggling for less and less.
It's been proven scientifically....crowding stresses us. makes us less "loving", more greedy, more hostile.

@BeeHappy I'm an optimist myself; and I'm pretty sure I'll be around a few more years...I don't see myself succumbing to any more pandemics or hostilities....but I'm not optimistic about our survival as a species.
I'm a demographer/Ecologist...and as such, that's what I was paid to do....forecast the future.
Let's put it this way; I don't think our extinction will be the "end of the world"....in fact it's very likely the world will breathe a sign or relief when we're gone.
And scientists that I've worked with are excited about the evolutionary reset...some suggest it'll be just a few million years back....as we very likely will wipe out most - if not all - mammalian species.
Just think...the dinosaurs might have a second chance!

But that hasn’t happened, and now Ham says it’s their fault because the community is too far away from the interstate.)
The Grant County Industrial Authority gave Ark Encounter $175,000 to offset the cost of land. In addition, local officials agreed to sell nearly 100 acres of land to Ham for the princely sum of $1.
The state spent $10 million on highway improvements on a road leading to Ark Encounter.
There’s simply no denying it – that’s an awful lot of state and local support. Ham needs to own up to the fact that his fundamentalist theme park would likely never have seen the light of day without massive help from the taxpayers of Kentucky."

I do spend almost the entire day on my laptop. I rarely turn on the TV. But the laptop is inter-acting with people....the TV...no interaction.

Population growth by itself does not cause war, not even increases in overall population density; but particular types of population changes are associated with political conflict (de Sherbinen 1995).
Or course; if men have been the predominant sex of the soldier who has died...then, logically, wars cause population decline.

You said for example that "War does not lower population." you can't be serious.
A simple search of that comment finds obvious fault with that comment;

Just work to distribute family planning tools and advice more freely would alleviate and reduce much of that growth. It's no longer about "killing" a growing population....it's about slowing down its' growth.
