From what I've been reading the "Big Bang" is very dependant on nebulous evidence...and might have been created with a religious POV. I ask...why does there have to be a "beginning"? Isn't it possible that the "Big Bang" was just one in a series? OK...evidence is good that the outer reaches are "speeding up" away from the theoretical origin of the BB...But they've also proven a "lens effect" or a speeding up of light as it goes around another body....couldn't all those readings from the farthest locations be distortions? I think that they aren't in fact accelerating away...it's just that they're so far from us....that their calculate speeds and accelerations might be "guestimates" and not very scientifically accurate at all.
