@Cutiebeauty; You're justifying sexism against males because males (in general, not me) have been sexist against females? This is what debaters call an "ad hominem" attack. You're not attacking the issues. you're defending your sexist views. I'm ashamed and sad for you. So sorry for your POV. :-(

@MsDemeanour It's a charming meme that suggests roll reversal.... and I DID see the humor in that! what bothered me was CutieBeauty's intro remark "men can't cook". I know they can. And I told her so. Not rudely, not arrogantly; just as a matter of fact...and backed it up with data. And she got defensive...and profane....and then you jumped in, and you got rude and countered with the "men are sexist so women can be too" argument as well. I'm sorry; I accuse both of you of unfair debating. That's counter productive. It's what pro-debaters call "ad hominem" attacks. (see the diagram, below). So yes; Let's work for equality. Let's not justify male sexist remarks by saying "well, it's just a joke" or "men constantly are sexist against women so I'm right to be sexist against men"... Those were the reasons I defended my remarks.

@MsDemeanour I've been a feminist for decades. And I speak out - and have gone to protests - to favor equality. I lost my first wife to overly strong birth control pills and lost the court battle for grievances....so you're talking to a veteran of equal rights, here. You're not "not trying to have a personal attack on you" but it comes off like that. Read all the comments I made. What I said - and documented - was that men can cook - men make up the majority of chefs, and women are underpaid and overworked in many careers - but that shoudn't encourage a counter bias. Let's work together for equality; not put one another down - even in "harmless" memes...because they're insulting and degrading.

@WonderWartHog99 I do know of some fresh water sites. that. are, indeed, doing well - despite apparent over-fishing. There's that body of water between Texas and Oklahoma that got stocked by a form of stripped bass that was adaptable to fresh water. They quickly developed large schools, and the minnows they fed on remained stable...so all you had to do was throw a lure in and you caught a decent sized tasty fish. This was about 6 years ago....I don't know the area anymore....but that was a delightful fishing adventure for me.

@JackPedigo Your point isn't clear. "No I'm not"...what? Not "slowing down"? The statistics support what I'm saying; that we are, in fact, slowing down our growth rate. We're still growing; but much slower. And the slowdown should result in ZPG by the latter part of this century. https://ourworldindata.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Updated-World-Population-Growth-Rate-Annual-1950-2100-750x525.png It's true we are still adding to the population; 158 more births, than deaths, per minute; but this number is much lower than the rate was when it peaked in the 1960's. True; we do increase 83-85 million per year; but that number was much higher decades ago; and we are slowing that down. Don't take my word for it; check the stats...be agnostic.. http://www.poodwaddle.com

Robecology replies on Jun 23, 2019:
Oh....and you asked about charging times. Basically it starts at a very high rate if your battery's low, a slower rate for fuller batteries. In general, it will take you about an hour to charge 250 -300 miles...this also depends on the number of chargers at the superchargers. The cost to charge is about one-third the cost of fuel on an MPG comparison. Once you have to pay for charges...(they're free for the first 6 months of new cars...they were free for the life of the car in 2013) the cost is $12 for 300 miles. https://www.divineelectricnorcal.com/tesla-charging-charts/

Great questions! "range anxiety" is a common issue; but if you've ever run out of gas - you've learned that lesson. It's pretty much the same thing; wasted hours, inconvenience, added expense if you let yourself "run out"....so there's several tools on the Tesla (and I think on every EV) which allow you to "plan your charge stops". Back in 2013 it was much harder to find places than today. A great map to go to is https://supercharge.info/map - you'll see the chargers world wide! And, yes; there's a phone app that lets' you remotely control your Tesla; If you leave the "key" in the car (or the Key card in the model 3's) and someone "absconds" your car; you (with your phone) can control the speed, the lights, you can even open and close the sunroof on the thief....they will never try to rob a Tesla again! You can even put the car in "Valet" mode and make the car go slower...

@EyesThatSmile Better in some ways, worse in others. It depends on how close to the water you live. I rarely swim in the ocean these days....but the water is definitely cooler and clearer here on the east coast than on the west coast (of Fl). And your sand is finer, and softer. I think it's made mostly of crushed calcium carbonate (shells) whereas the sand here is igneous and sedimentary (harder, coarser, darker). Definitely nicer for building sand castles. Other than those differences - a metropolis is a metropolis. Lights. Shopping. Beaches. I have a home in a high-rise ON the beach; In the winter I can listen to - and even smell - the waves hit the shore. Sorry; Love this coast, and love my beachfront home.

I do feel the love; I'm just saying it's P > C - or Parent to child directed. I've brought this up with the loved one; she thinks it's a trivial point...but I've studied TA for many years...and I know that apparently harmless comments like this build up the "parent' ego and tear down the "child" ego. In other words, it's not quite "condescending" but very "parent to child" style of communicating that, to me, anyway - deteriorates the relationship. In other words; ask me to say "I love you" when you get home...NOW we're on an A > A wavelength.
