@mzbehavin ...I think that's the secret...@cutiebeauty kinda left that out...but for those tomatoes not to dry out and/or burn they had to have some oil protection. I'll try again tomorrow with OO on top, and a lower temp...fingers crossed!

@sweetcharlotte You make a fair point. To her credit; when she was good she was amazing. She's generous to a fault. She really did, literally spoil her daughter; why? Who knows....but she continues on a self-destructive yet selfless path paying for things her daughter demands. It's just that I got caught up in her concern for her daughter...and tried to be generous....with no results. If I die before she does...she inherits some of my "estate"....I haven't taken her out of my will....yet.

@Cutiebeauty I tried it....the cheese and bread got burnt - the tomatoes didn't melt in like yours did.... :( but I'll experiment until I get it...great simple lunch idea. Maybe your oven wasn't that hot? Maybe you sprayed it with oil? The tomatoes look unscathed by heat...super-impressed!

Bread mixes still do....Pillsbury makes a great variety of spiced breads that don't need much attention...including a yeast packet....they rise nicely, and work easily. Try them....or be brave, and try flour and your own fresh yeast....once you get the right amounts of ingredients down....it ...

I don't have a pic...recycled the box...but I think it was called "Artisan breads" by Pillsbury...it included a packet of yeast...which worked without even letting it have time to rise...it rose in the pan! I think she found that I didn't comply to her will to "change" to what she wanted well enough...so I take some responsibility for her "going cold"....but good points!!

Then you criticize that he didn't want to "get his hands dirty"...but did you? You asked him for the flower bed...perhaps a wiser thing for him to say was - I can't help you with that? I do say kudos for getting names off websites...Ken Keyes jr. advised that if you're breaking up...move from hatred to indifference ASAP...cut off all contact...so good idea to get the name off the website.... @Cast1es It does discuss the mating rates; In fact as they got intensely crowded, all mating behavior ceased and the populations crashed. The mating became aggressive (by the males) and as the cages got smaller, the females fought off the aggressive males - quite naturally. There was also increased male/male mating activity. Lots of behavior that can be applied to what's happening today. Read it all.

I'm sure there were many times when your son's actions angered you...and I'm sure you did the best you could to correct him. Do you ever regret that you were angry with him? I've been fortunate; my kids are all mature adults who are doing well with kids of their own...so I can only sympathize...I can't empathize. But as I said...and you must admit...you were angry with your son for decisions he made. Is it possible you didn't show your anger enough? There's been a lot said about "tough love"...perhaps if you had shown it - he could have been alive today? Again...I'm sorry for your loss. But sometimes...as I said and still say now....there's those suicidal people....like those who make quotes people praise...who realize that it's their time to go. I've been tough with students who were suicidal...and who thanked me later in their life for my being "tough" on them. I've been told by more than one that I "saved their life". ....and there were others who saw that it was their time to end it. And I have to admire their courage. Maybe it's time to admire your son's decision?

@Heidi68 If the foreground had some interesting shadows then I'd say keep it.. I tried blowing it up and lightening it....no effect. I'd crop it to 1/3 to 1/4 of the image...that would bring more focus on the incredible light action...

@metalhead222 I'm not sure what you're suggesting - but I think too many live with the "myth" that "going to the gym" will, as the sign says, make you "just ugly" ...it's clever/cute...but it's not the working out that changes your fitness, it's the diet changes. I get that....and it's convenient to buy it there...but those folk working there get minimum wages...the corporation makes many times 100% profit from the overpriced addictives... My strategy is to bring snacks and water from home...they profit enough from the ticket sales. If we dry up the food concessions there, they'll either lower their prices or let the kids working there get better paying more meaningful jobs elsewhere...

You have a point. What exactly is "science"? It's hard to say one "believes" in science...because science is a process - not a body of knowledge. Now, if you said "I believe in the Scientific Method for approaching our problems" I get that. The SM is actually a very conservative process...you must prove, over and over, and over again, something to make your point. Your process must be repeatable to be deemed "scientific" It has to have been proven with tons of data and over a long period of time for the "scientific community" to call it an acceptable theory or "law". So...point taken. Be a skeptic. Science loves a skeptic.
