Internet access is only the priviliege of 1 in 8 people world wide. Language access? Similar odds. Are you able to read this? 1 in 5 people in the world can't. Are you fairly normal/healthy? the death rate, world wide, is 109 people per minute (but the birth rate is 267...so we're growing at the rate of 158 more per minute.). Robecology comments on Mar 11, 2019:
If you study the history of impeachment you see that it's only a fancy name for "congressional indictment". It still needs a two-house vote on conviction. It demands passing votes to even "impeach" and the Republican senate obviously won't buy in. Then it would require a trial and a vote to convict or not....so Pelosi's right; it would be a waste of time and money. Barry Goldwater, a leading Conservative in the 70's, said this about impeachment for Nixon. In a May 1973 interview with Time magazine's Hays Gorey, Goldwater said, "If it can be proved that he lied, resignation would have to be considered. It would be quick. Everything would be over, ended. It wouldn't drag out like impeachment." Nixon didn't resign until august of '74.... https://www.politico.com/story/2007/02/when-the-gop-torpedoed-nixon-002680

Robecology comments on Mar 11, 2019:
Wow...this one hits home for me. I've been in - and out - and in - and out of a relationship with a woman who I said to, on day one...almost exactly what Jim Rohn said, in the quote above. She was 49, I was 61; 12 years older than her - but obviously healthier. So yes....she responded to my "condition" and got much healthier....but then fell back in to neglect - of taking care of herself. So naturally, as soon as we broke up, a couple months ago...you can guess what she did, right? I had to look this up to confirm....yep; he said this; Jim Rohn “The greatest gift you can give somebody is your own personal development. I used to say, "If you will take care of me, I will take care of you. "Now I say, I will take care of me for you, if you will take care of you for me.”

His two weak points are his age and his devotion to "socialism". But - let's kick Ageists to the ground, and try to wake up America that everyone of us who buy in to Social Security are Card-Carrying Socialists! We're fighting a wave of ageism, and a fear that "healthcare and college for all is too "socialist" Bernie's no doubt fitter, healhier, younger thinking, more articulate, and far more experienced in politics than DJT - so that throws the ageists out the window. Robecology comments on Mar 10, 2019:
I concur; they rarely are right. And, ignoring the myths and fairy tales, their strategy is for the most part, a good one. There are good Christians...in fact...let me generalize and say that there are many good #Religulous throughout the world who go by the original tenets of love your neighbor, help the poor and down-trodden...walk in the path of the originator, be it Mohammed of Jesus or Budda.... -but they stopped being a "shepherd for earth" -they let the "greed" addiction creep in to their lives. -they took family planning (or lack of) too personally - and worked to take it away from the poor. -they took male dominance too seriously. -they took the concept of "build a church and the masses will come" too literally. .I think it's these very things that many of us here on A.com stopped seeing that made us aware of the hypocrisy - and joint the Atheist/agnostic movement.

It looks like the Pineapple needs to be quite "aged" or almost over-ripe. I looked this up.. this is pretty much how I do it. BTW...When you remove the "crown" you can put it in water and grow new pineapples.... First, trim all the "flesh" away from the leaves at the base; so you're just left with vegetation and a core tip. Then put toothpicks in it...to hold it upright...and submerge just the tip in water. Change the water every other day for several weeks until you see tiny rootlets sprouting. Once the rootlets sprout find a spot in a sunny Florida, South Texas, Hawaiian (of course) or Southern California garden. I've never grown them indoors...maybe you have? https://youtu.be/IH7nfHbfHBY Below the video is a pic of my "babies"

#1....It's hard to un-do all that conditioning, teaching/learning and programming we had as a child. Before we could walk and talk we were either nurtured, loved, and appreciated, or scorned, resented, and rejected. It's almost like there's no in between. Even what our parents fed us gave us our eating habits. That's why obesity is such a hard "addiction" to fight...the habits were established before we could walk and talk...by well-meaning, but ignorant parents. so... #2. Be gentle on yourself, and forgiving to your parents. You - and I - and all of us - started with a moment of biologically driven passion. Often and in almost all species, and for most of human history, it was a male-dominant rape-act. Some parents were happy with the results - some were not. Civilization and the #Religulous took away "infanticide" and still fights abortion and family planning...so many "resented" our being born. #3. So stop calling them "abusive". They were ignorant, and intolerant. They were angry at their poor planning...and took it out on you...so let's not accuse them of intentional abuse. #. And you need to start appreciating that you're alive, and fairly normal. You can read and write. Most humans cant. You can walk and talk. Most humans cant. You have a computer/phone to read this....most humans don't Richard Dawkins has many books worth reading. I keep a phrase he's said handy; I'm posting it here. I also trust the wisdom of Ken Keyes Jr. (deceased). If you contact me I'll share more links from him. https://biodork.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/yqgof.jpg

Excellent! Mysterious, colorful, scientifically accurate, and yet basic and informative! Did you know that it's Phytoplankton....not trees, not land vegetation....that's doing most of the CO2-O2 exchange for earth's atmosphere? Remember; Oceans cover 70% of earth...land 30%..of Land, forests account for 30% of that 30%...or 9%. Even if you assume land is 75% vegetation, then 75% of 30% is only 22.5%.... So don't "hug a tree" thank the clean ocean...and those working to keep it clean.... How much do oceans add to world's oxygen? | Earth | EarthSky https://earthsky.org/earth/how-much-do-oceans-add-to-worlds-oxygen
