Friendships have all sorts of levels and intensities. I do think I have several folk on Agnostic.com who I can call "friendly"...but to define them as a "friend" is a bit of a stretch to me. Friends develop over time. They're a mutualism to friendships....a parallel-ism if you will. To be defined as a friend I have to say that both need to have been helpful, or at least fulflling to eachother on a nearly mutual level.

I am off on a cruise on the 25th.

Not sure where you get the "cats and dogs" issue; but do explore the groups. What you'll discover - as I did - is that although it's designed to facilitate dating and meeting....it doesn't work well that way. Perhaps we're still too widespread to physically "meet" but the community has been "there" for me with good advice. Groups are easy to join...easy to leave. You'll find folk here a lot more comprehensive and polite than on facebook.

I relish political commentary. I'm active on Facebook (FB) - perhaps too much so as my son tells me... So....I'm regularly banned from FB because I try to debate the folk on pro-Trump and Conservative sites...and some find it easy to lie to FB and say something that I've posted "goes against community standards". I'm not a "troll". I don't "throw out tempting bait" to "lure the suckers in to biting"....I look for obvious lies...and post to contradict them. But it is, what it is...FB is clearly a tool for the more conservative and power-hungry of America IMO. But I digress.. Tonight I look forward to two political commentary TV shows... @JACAR; I'm not an admin; but allow me to attempt to answer you. #1. free speech and free thinkers implies that you're free to speak as you like and think as you like; but they/we will block hate speech/spam speech, and unsupported, obviously false/fake speech. #2. You seem to be defending one religion over another. We are an equal-religion dis-believer - BUT - we don't get heavy, nor agressive, nor profane, nor hostile about it. Religions and the religulous have become almost funny to most of us; we laugh at them, or feel sorry for them. BTW; "evil" is a #religulous concept. Most of us agnostics don't consider the #religulous "evil" as much as "delusional". So you're wasting your time pointing out who is attacking who, and where. We get it. The religious tend to inspire extreme behavior. Crusades. etc. We don't say one is more "evil" than the other...we tend to point out in humorous memes how the believers are a bit of a joke to those of us who've become demanding of "knowing facts"...scientists....as it were. Just lighten up. There's no "superior whities" any more than there's "inferior darkies" - both are outdated, racist, uneducated concepts. If you don't lighten up; you can count on being blocked and eventually asked to leave - and then forced to leave - if you continue with the hostile diatribe.
