Everything she said sounds logical...but quick video flashes to what she was describing would have made a decent story in to a great one. I've recently tried removing all creamer from my diet; I hear/read about too many calories and possibly additives in the powdered stuff. Having said that, there's also the freshness of the coffee vs the older second cup, and there's also an adaptation to the "usual taste" that makes that first one the best.

We all "hook up" with different levels of partnership. It seems so rare to be a 5 (or 3, or 7) and find a "similar number" that you "click" with. The trick is to really know your own "number" or "level". So we evolve the various honest, semi-honest, sort of honest, or even sardonic/sarcastic comments that "end things" with the mis-match. Not a bad thing...really. All the phrases on the left can be 100% genuine. They also can be 100% "contrived". If you're "faking it" too often it's time to re-evaluate who you are and what you're seeking. If those on the left all seem to have been said by you with total truth - that, too, is a sign for a need to self-evaluate.

Not true to me. Slightly "offensive" when I'm spoken to like this. In Transactional Analysis; these comments are the equivalent of parents talking down to a child. They might work if you're a parent, talking to a child. But they don't work if it's one adult to another. Look up "Transactional Analysis - images"; this is a classic "crossed" Stimulus-response - which often stops or ends a cooperative communication. To me they're less of an "I love you" than the actual - face-to-face, slowly and intently spoken I L-O-V-E Y-O-U. Tell me you love me -adult to adult or even child-to-child. Don't talk down to me. I was happy when I left the "loving care" of my parents....I don't need an adult being "parental" to me.

Raised by an Episcopal father and a non-practicing jewish mother...I went through all the rituals...Sunday school, confirmation, even got married (when I was 21) in an Episcopal church....but that faded away as I got older. Going for science as a major had a lot to do with it. Reading "Sermons in Stone" by Richard Ordway (a teacher at SUNY New Paltz, a college/home town I'll be driving to soon) was the turning point. BTW; I'll be staying near you, in Wyetheville WVa, this coming Wednesday night (June 19th). When I was out West at a big cattle ranch, I asked the owner why he hadn't switched to the cheaper-to-raise Buffalo. He said because basically "they have no neck" He pointed out that cattle heads are easy (and cheap) to lock in to position for slaughter. Buffalo; not so much. "They need an expensive "harness" to have them hold still for the "butchering". I did more research - and found that if you eat buffalo, the main reason they're still so expensive is that they have to be "field slaughtered" (yep - shot in the head)... then the flesh needs to be transported in. No "corraling buffalo"... Besides; "corraling" boosts nervous hormones in cattle; which we consume. Buffalo get slaughtered "by surprise" and don't go through that "corraling stress" that builds up all the toxic hormones in the beef we eat. Maybe a good reason to eat the pricier buffalo?

Are exhausted with the constant proselytizing, or 3. A little of both. The "indifference" strategy is, to me, the best. I won't venture a guess regarding non-college Atheist/agnostics; but I think the stats from Pew is very telling; Of "college/university" educated (graduates? not clear).... Unaffiliated (religious "nones") 25% Atheist 5% Agnostic 6% Nothing in particular 14% Don't know 1% So of the 25% who indicated "none" only 1 in 5 had the conviction to declare Agnostic or Atheist. The "nothing in particular" are still "fence sitting"...so that's about half of the "unaffiliated". So this, in itself, is an important stat. I try to "sweat' every day. I read that's important for us seniors. I swim every 3-4th day. (30 - 40 laps, short pool). I bike 4-8 mies every 3- 4 days I hit a tennis-ball-machine every 3-4 days. I also have a variety of workout equipment in my home...hate the 'gym scene". I have a set of clubs...and a par 3-4 9 hole walk-about course is within my community; but I've played only once. Waiting for my son to take an interest.

I took my son and his new wife to New Orleans a few years ago, and we found a natural museum there; and there was an exhibit called "The future of food".... I bet you can guess the main ingredients? Yep...insects. They talked about and displayed various "meals" and "flours" that were insects ground up so well that they didn't matter what they looked like. The promise is... -they grow fast -they eat weeds -they're high protein -their meal, or flour, will some day be an ingredient for "meat-like" substitutes... -the growing world population (158 more births, than deaths, per minute) need food. and of course; there were samples of the creatures themselves; both living and toasted....whole, with different seasonings. What I've learned is that despite the beauty of building on a hill, or non-level surface is that the land below the homes...even solid rock....shift and slide. Europe and Italy in particular is learning this....as "static" as any hilly land appears...it's moving. Pipes, foundations, all cracked beyond repair. I thought I had replied to this; perhaps on another group? Anyway; I've met and had decent, fairly long term relationships with three women on dating sites since they got started, in the early 90's. I actually did "personal ads" pre-internet in the late 80's. I divorced in 88. I actually married one I met in the late 90's...but by 2005 it was over. I'm still seeing...then not seeing...then seeing...then not seeing....a woman I met in 2006 through the dating sites. My recommendations? The pricey ones don't work that well. They're rather scammish. The free ones worked the best for me. POF, OKCupid, AmericanSingles...(I think they've changed names) were all free, and worked for me. It appears that Agnostic.com should work for anyone who wants to find another "soulmate" who's not worried about religion....that's turned out to be rather important to me.

He pleaded guilty in April to possession of a stolen gun and stealing government property. Yates is set to be sentenced in August. He faces up to 10 years in prison on each count but is unlikely to get the maximum under federal sentencing guidelines. The ATF has recovered more than 4,000 guns and parts that had been reported missing while Yates worked there, according to Yates' plea agreement. Yates admitted to stealing at least 3,000 slides, a key part of a gun allowing it to fire, from Glock semiautomatic handguns. Florida; land of Ho-hum (hot and humid) weather. No-see-ums, (I had to install speciaI, finer mesh, more expensive screens) 'skeeters" and the mate-while-flying love bugs (actually not bugs, but flies; see image) that cover your car with a hard to remove stain...yea...it's a mixed advantage to living here, for sure! Yea, the 'skeeters' can be mean...if they get you, the itch lasts for days. I hate wearing repellent...but the stuff is getting safer every day. But...having said that....I love, love, love the weather! I also am more "acclimatized" to warm weather than most. I'm brown eyed and tan easily....I think they call it having "Mediterranean" blood...but I'm so happy when all the snowbirds (blue-eyed/lighter skinned) folk who "can't stand the summers in Florida" go home! More pool time for me!
