I've done enough studies in Demography to know that the more crowded it gets the more challenging it is to find and stay with one person....or to even remain stable and sane. They were the final straw that broke my back. 4 separate times within a couple month period I caught those rascals in traps.... After suffering many a "break-in". through tears in the soffit (the lining under the roof) and poisons, even having to shoot one who kept "breaking in"...spending hundreds with attic traps and dead animal locators.... They made me sell my home and move north. I don't regret the move now; but did then.

I have mixed feelings on saving the desperate and ready-to-end-their-lives folk. On the one hand...it's always rewarding if you get to see a person with a bad situation get tough and face their hastles..and come out of their struggle with a glimmer of success. But - I might have to check stats here...I'm guessing most continue with a depressing life-situation. Their suffering continues...and so does all who are associated with them. On the other hand....sometimes (again; this is just me) I think it's better to let folks who've reached the end of their rope to not only let them go...but help them. Not necessarily push them, nor ignore them... But if it's "their time"...especially suffering seniors...I see a goodness in helping them say goodbye. I won't debate this with you... This is who I am and how I feel. I hope when I reach that terminus that my loved ones will help me go....

I listen to no-ad smooth jazz, mostly non-vocal, as per my local Cable (Comcast) provider. Pretty much the same in the car by whatever streaming service I have (not sure; standard in the Tesla). I really see a downhill trend in music from the 70's-80's through today, especially for classic rock, soft rock, and hard rock. I used to be a big Led Zep/ZZ top/Brian Adams fan....but I'm afraid I only enjoy them on rare occasion.

I'm so proud of myself; I have to brag to you, Dot... I actually came back from a party of mostly eating excess...and actually lost a tiny fraction of weight! I stood on the scale this AM and expected at least a 1-2 pound gain. But I did eat smart....only one stick (5 small pieces) of barbequed beef (kabab) a veggie Kabab (my efforts and contribution to the event) and some salads....and a piece of Amanda's birthday cake. So I guess I shouldn't be that surprised.... But...brag/n/boast... I did it!

It's been true all along. In 91 I bought my first solar-hot-water heater for the roof. It worked great. In 98 I moved, and bought another system for the new home. About a $1000 cheaper. It's happening. Not as fast as the computer and cell phone revolution....but it's happening.
