Marriage is a challenge. You have to learn give and take. You have to learn compromise. Some say it's a higher level of relationships.....some suggest it's more challenging to live with...and love....yourself. I just stayed with a couple who have been married 52 years. They sleep in separate rooms. Act rude to eachother. But still do things for eachother. I'm not sure if they're very happy. - - - - - - - - I've tried Both. 1st marriage; 10 years (she died young, of cancer). 2nd...11 years. 3rd only 2, the fourth only 5. Living by myself was frightening and insecure at first. I'm finally falling deeply in love with exactly who I am...no compromising. More challenging? Easier? Not sure.

Looking for folks that often have issues with boredom, and tedium.

I'm retired. But my day goes by swiftly...sometimes, too fast. I'm on the computer often...but I try to get at least a half-hour to 2 hours of decent exercise in. Biking, swimming...even hitting balls shot at me by the tennis machine. Get that strenuous workout in....it'll make your day less "tedious".

It depends on a lot of factors. My 60 year old brother died in 2014 from eating old food....and we family members are notorious for saving and eating "'leftovers"....so it's a real "iffy" thing. All I can suggest is let your nose and taste buds be your guide. If something doesn't smell quite right...just know that it could end your life.

We all "hook up" with different levels of partnership. It seems so rare to be a 5 (or 3, or 7) and find a "similar number" that you "click" with. The trick is to really know your own "number" or "level". So we evolve the various honest, semi-honest, sort of honest, or even sardonic/sarcastic comments that "end things" with the mis-match. Not a bad thing...really. All the phrases on the left can be 100% genuine. They also can be 100% "contrived". If you're "faking it" too often it's time to re-evaluate who you are and what you're seeking. If those on the left all seem to have been said by you with total truth - that, too, is a sign for a need to self-evaluate.

Not true to me. Slightly "offensive" when I'm spoken to like this. In Transactional Analysis; these comments are the equivalent of parents talking down to a child. They might work if you're a parent, talking to a child. But they don't work if it's one adult to another. Look up "Transactional Analysis - images"; this is a classic "crossed" Stimulus-response - which often stops or ends a cooperative communication. To me they're less of an "I love you" than the actual - face-to-face, slowly and intently spoken I L-O-V-E Y-O-U. Tell me you love me -adult to adult or even child-to-child. Don't talk down to me. I was happy when I left the "loving care" of my parents....I don't need an adult being "parental" to me.

Raised by an Episcopal father and a non-practicing jewish mother...I went through all the rituals...Sunday school, confirmation, even got married (when I was 21) in an Episcopal church....but that faded away as I got older. Going for science as a major had a lot to do with it. Reading "Sermons in Stone" by Richard Ordway (a teacher at SUNY New Paltz, a college/home town I'll be driving to soon) was the turning point. BTW; I'll be staying near you, in Wyetheville WVa, this coming Wednesday night (June 19th). If you'd like to get together for dinner (on me) let me know...there's a nice Chinese restaurant (simply called Peking) in town right near the Tesla supercharger....if I get in around dinner time (ETA 8 PM) I'm dining there. Point taken. I love the banter that goes on here far more...you get almost immediate response. And there's no posting "favorite cat or cute baby" pics here...at least none I've come across. The comments here just seem more relevant, and often enlightening. I learn stuff here. I rarely learn stuff on FB.

When I was out West at a big cattle ranch, I asked the owner why he hadn't switched to the cheaper-to-raise Buffalo. He said because basically "they have no neck" He pointed out that cattle heads are easy (and cheap) to lock in to position for slaughter. Buffalo; not so much. "They need an expensive "harness" to have them hold still for the "butchering". I did more research - and found that if you eat buffalo, the main reason they're still so expensive is that they have to be "field slaughtered" (yep - shot in the head)... then the flesh needs to be transported in. No "corraling buffalo"... Besides; "corraling" boosts nervous hormones in cattle; which we consume. Buffalo get slaughtered "by surprise" and don't go through that "corraling stress" that builds up all the toxic hormones in the beef we eat. Maybe a good reason to eat the pricier buffalo?

I have been offered "belgian Waffle makers" by many a kind and generous friend and family...and will not succumb to having one. No matter how "nutritious" the ingredients, you're basically making a newer, unusual form of bread - a carb that's proved deadly to dieters and those trying to lose weight. I wouldn't pay a penny if I saw one at a garage sale...and I love garage sales! But kudos on reaching your goal weight!
