Someone please share this on the Conservative Atheist page? I've been banned from them - Even though I consider myself a Fiscal Conservative - Because I've spoken on that strand the same way Ms. Del Percio has, above.

Robecology comments on Mar 5, 2019:
It's clearly a tongue-in-cheek commentary....and I do like American coffee...but hate any service centers (and most single-serve machines) that produce a too-watered-down cup. I like a strong, bold taste...hate any watery coffee. I drink it as close to black (rarely, if it's brewed just right..black) as I can handle, and - forgive me sugar purists - with sucralose (splenda). NOT nutrasweet (aspartame) NOT sweet-n-low (saccharin). Tests prove them toxic in large doses...not true with Splenda. The sugar buzz gives me...along with the caffeine - a bit too much of a high followed by a strong urge to nap....
Let me pose a question to you.
Robecology comments on Mar 5, 2019:
Too many variables to make a decision here. I have discovered that Garlic breath is a matter of the scent getting in your blood...no amount of brushing and flossing will remove it....it just has to be "digested". I've also learned that partners who cook in a similar fashion stay together longer....?
Seems to be a LOT of instability around lately.

Research supports it; Additional daylight at night would also increase physical fitness, citing a Journal of Environmental Psychology study that showed a 62 percent increase in pedestrian activity and a 38 percent increase in cycling activity because daylight is extended. Car crashes involving pedestrians also are reduced, Rubio’s office said, citing the American Journal of Public Health and the Journal of Safety Research.

The Hoax of Liberalism has been exposed.
Robecology comments on Mar 4, 2019:
FYI....Bernie has plenty of cogent ideas. He has built a platform as a congressman, senator and presidential hopeful that has promised to empower the poor and middle class through minimum wage reforms and strengthening the labor movement while increasing taxes and eliminating tax loopholes for the super rich, among many other proposed economic reforms. With income inequality reaching highs not seen since before the Great Depression, Sanders aims to champion the 99%. Sanders has, indeed, put forth some sound economic policies. But it's a bit complicated; it requires some reading.

In Honduras, up to January 2017, 172 mining concessions had been granted, covering a total area of 7,275 square kilometers, equivalent to 6.47 of the country’s territory. In Guatemala, up to the same date, 55 concessions had been granted, covering an area of 4,143 square kilometers, or 3.81 percent of the national territory. And by May 2017 Nicaragua had granted 146 mining concessions, and is still processing 20 more applications. Altogether, including the pending applications, they cover 11,143 square kilometers, or 8.55 percent of the country. Sad...we still so obviously exploit 3rd world nations....

But Socialism...
Robecology comments on Mar 2, 2019:
We never called Social Security socialism...nor public schools. nor our military....but that's just what they are. How about calling the health for all push "Social Health security"? How about calling the push to get colleges for free the "Social Higher Education Security"? How about calling our military "Social National Defense security" How about calling our police "Social Protection and Enforcement Security" Because everyone in America who carries a "Social Security" card is a card-carrying Socialist... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4rr9Lcx_dQ
Our candidates need a game plan to weaken or negate the "S word".

Dirty Dozen from the book Bypassing Dystopia: Hope-filled challenges to corporate rule by Joyce ...
Robecology comments on Mar 1, 2019:
@ToolGuy; I've read your posts before. This doesn't sound like you. Let me try to understand you better...are you saying this "dirty dozen" are 12 "aspects on the agenda" of Neo-liberals that they oppose or support? You're kidding, right? Please tell me you're being facetious? Tongue-in-cheek? Liberals, progressives, and socialists want regulation. They don't want "open borders". They don't want tax cuts for multinationals. They want unions, not union busting. They don't want tax havens. They want limits to growth. Progressives and socialists are far more cognizant of the effects of growth on climate and social well being than the #religulous conservatives. Are you saying that "neoliberalism" is bad (for Canada)? That they're "in its clutches now"? This sounds like a serious attack using flowery rhetoric on the progressive and socialist movement in America. Take your "dirty dozen" story to the Conservatives page...I'm sure you'll get a lot of readers there who will pretend they understand what you're talking about. Here's the original article - espousing "bypassing dystopia" for Canadians.. http://rabble.ca/news/2018/06/bypassing-dystopia-could-free-canada-clutches-neoliberalism
Went to open my sunroof visor and thought this looked cool.

The WSJ tries to smear AOC and response is priceless! [washingtonpress.com]
Robecology comments on Mar 1, 2019:
Her twitter response to the biased report nailed it... Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ✔ @AOC I guess WSJ Editorial Page takes pride in their ignorance of our nation’s history of slavery, Jim Crow, & mass incarceration; willful doubt on the decades of science on climate change; targeting of indigenous peoples, and the classist, punitive agenda targeting working families. WSJ Editorial Page ✔ @WSJopinion Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez "leads a generation of young people to take pride in their ignorance—of the laws of nature, of history, of the Constitution, of the eternal battle for freedom—and still succeed." https://on.wsj.com/2TrLHZ2 57.9K 2:55 PM - Feb 28, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy 17K people are talking about this
This must be the right place to ask this question.
Robecology comments on Mar 1, 2019:
As we evolved our brains, we connected sanitation with longevity. We see that among the most successfully adaptive mammals, the raccoon is meticulous with its washing habits. But they're not alone about hygiene. Many mammals literally wipe their butts against bushes, shrubs and trees. Some scientists connect "territorial marking" to the practice; but those who didn't "do it" often got sick and died out of the gene pool...not so much because their territory was invaded, but because they developed infections. We took that many steps further by developing indoor plumbing. Sanitized water supplies, bidets, toilets, soaps, and toilet papers. You must know that it was only a couple hundred years ago that the germ theory of disease became well established. Washing and purifying the air and the instruments used for surgery and personal hygiene had #religulous foundations from thousands of years ago because the science behind sanitation wasn't clear...but the wisdom was. The ancient Egyptians were meticulous surgeons. Over 3000 years ago, they mastered the art of "trepanning"....opening the skull - very cleanly and with much purity - to let "demons" escape (and to remove tumors, as well). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trepanning Cooking food goes along those lines; too many raw foods were connected with too many illnesses...cooking was a way of "killing germs" thousands of years before anyone knew what germs were. So ti was with personal hygiene. It just made us live longer, get sick less often. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germ_theory_of_disease
