You pretty much covered it. I didn't hear/read you mention "dill" and it almost goes without saying...it's a crucial spice for "pickling. I recommend a length wise split of the nukes. The smaller ones work in a small jar. The secret is also in how hot the water is that the cukes sit in....and for how long. I microwave the cukes with the spices and vinegar about a minute - or until the liquid is too hot to touch...but not boiling. Then I close the jar, let it sit on the counter to get down to room temp....and then in the fridge.

If we want to lose weight/get in shape, we have two options (I'm talking to myself, as well, here).... 1. Get stricter with our diet 2. Get stricter with our exercise. It's been my experience that it's a whole lot easier to work on #1. We eat often during the day. We just need to measure portions. Time our eating. Avoid the "tempting" junk. Go to bed kind of hungry. #2 is way tougher (as the cartoon suggests)...and we work out anywhere from a few minutes to an hour....once a day. It's just far tougher to "change" this routine than to adjust our portions and meal timing...IMO. Of all the holiywood folk who talk about diet and exercise; I like what Matt McConaughey (who was famous for getting horribly thin in his great movie "Dallas buyers club) said about exercise ; "do any exercise that makes you huff and puff for at least 10 minutes, and makes you break a sweat. You need to sweat every day....it's almost like pissing...your body needs to do it". (my history; used to be 50lb over..now barely 10...fighting to lose that final 10).

I can understand kids asking this, but not mature adults. There's a thousand reasons for going through various stages of anonymity -not yet divorced. -not yet "broken up" -shy/embarrassed/ poor self image. -little access to good pictures. -I'm sure others will come up with even more. Don't question it; just avoid even contacting them. If they're ready and willing to "jump in" they'll act like it.

I've been on three rafting trips, no "hang gliding" nor "sky diving". I've also been on a couple of "zip-lines" but they were too fast! After I saw Lorraine Bracco go on a slow zip line in "Medicine Man" I've wanted to find a slow zip line experience -but never had.
